The Spruce Grove Saints have been deducted four points as a result of dressing an ineligible player on Friday, February 18th and Saturday, February 19th. The Saints were in violation of Hockey Alberta Bylaw 3.2 (c), which states that a Junior A team can register a maximum of two 16 year old players.
As per AJHL Bylaw 11.3, the Drayton Valley Thunder will be credited the win for the game played on February 18th and the Sherwood Park Crusaders will be credited with the win on February 19th:
11.3 If a member team allows a player who is deemed to be ineligible play in a game, such game, upon ruling by the President, shall be counted as a win for the opposing member team.
