This is what every hockey fan in Northern Alberta has been waiting for – the showdown between the top two teams in the AJHL, the Spruce Grove Saints and the Fort McMurray Oil Barons (MOB).
That is said with apologies to the Brooks Bandits, who were actually the “top” team in the AJHL this year, but they don’t play in the tough North Division and as such, they haven’t had to fight and claw their way to this point of the season like the Saints and MOB.
