The Fort McMurray Oil Barons are excited to announce that 2000-born forward Brendan Stafford (Sherwood Park, AB) has committed to the NAIT Ooks of the Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC). Stafford?s commitment will begin in fall 2020.
Stafford joined the Oil Barons during the 2018-19 season, following a trade with the Sherwood Park Crusaders. In 107 games over two seasons with the Oil Barons, Stafford recorded 66 points (25 goals, 41 assists).
As a 19-year-old last season, Stafford became a prominent leader and a top-six forward for the Oil Barons. In total, Stafford finished third in team scoring during the regular season and added three points in six playoff games.
