Stewart, Kincaid and Power Selected as AJHL Weekly Player Award Winners

Forward Mack Stewart of the Lloydminster Bobcats is the Pizza 73 AJHL Player of the Week following a seven-point performance from December 6th-12th, 2021.

Stewart scored the game winning goal then added an assist on the next two goals as the Bobcats posted a 4-1 win over the Sherwood Park Crusaders on December 8th.   The 20 year-old forward recorded his first AJHL four-point game on December 12th in a 9-5 win versus the Olds Grizzlys.   Stewart (Villach, AUT) scored two consecutive goals and two assists in the victory.

Mack Stewart, in his third season with the Lloydminster Bobcats, is tied for the lead in team scoring with 31 points (11G, 20A).  

The Alberta Ford Dealers AJHL Defensive Player of the Week is Robert Kincaid of the Camrose Kodiaks who is now third among AJHL defencemen in points with 30.

On December 8th, Kincaid (Barrhead, AB) recorded an assist on the game tying goal as the Kodiaks battled back to defeat the Olds Grizzlys 6-3.   He put the Kodiaks on the scoreboard versus the Drayton Valley Thunder on December 10th then added assists on the next two Kodiak goals in an eventual 6-4 loss.   Robert is tied for the team lead in points with 30 (8G, 22A).

Kincaid, 19, is committed to the NCAA Division I University of Maine Black Bears.

Alex Power of the Bonnyville Pontiacs is the Inter Pipeline AJHL Rookie of the Week after earning the Viterra AJHL Star of the Game award in two consecutive games last week.

Power (St Johns, NL) scored the opening goal and game tying goal in a 4-3 OT loss on December 8th versus the Whitecourt Wolverines.       He had a repeat performance on December 11th with two goals and an assist, including his third short-handed goal of the season, in an 8-3 final against the Olds Grizzlys to earn his second straight Viterra AJHL Star of the Game award.

With 25 points (16G, 9A), the 19 year-old is tied for fifth in team scoring.   Power is committed to attend Quinnipiac University as a member of the Division I Quinnipiac Bobcats.
