Viterra AJHL Volunteer Profile – Randy Kleist, Grande Prairie Storm

The Alberta Junior Hockey League and Viterra are proud to recognize one volunteer from each member team through the Viterra AJHL Volunteer Profile during the 2015-2016 season.   At the end of the regular season, one volunteer in both the Viterra AJHL North Division & Viterra AJHL South Division will be presented with the Viterra Salute to Service Award recognizing their service and commitment to the Alberta Junior Hockey League.

  • Why I Volunteer: I volunteer because I love the game and it has always been a part of my life in a number of different ways. I enjoy the relationships that are developed with other volunteers, the players, coaches and everyone that is a part of the organization. I also do it for my two boys that have been there with me since they were babies so that they could be lucky enough to grow up around the rink and be part of the organization.
  • Occupation: Manager – Commercial Banking @ Canadian Western Bank
  • Favorite AJHL Memory: it’s a Toss up – Hosting Royal Bank Cup in 2004/Trip to Vernon, BC to attend the Doyle Cup in Spring 2009.
  • Favorite AJHL Player: There are a few for different reasons. Past-Ricky Wong, Chad Carder, Carter Rowney, Darren Kramer, Taylor Cote, Scott Nordstrom, Jordan Mctaggart, Tanner Labbe Present-Josh Zablocki, Parker Wakaruk, Tyler Maltby
