The Whitecourt Wolverines got a late power play goal from captain Joseph Nardi as they knocked off the Bonnyville Pontiacs (28-15-4) for a second consecutive day on Sunday. The win was Wolverines head coach Gord Thibodeau’s 832nd of his career, tying him for the most all-time in the Alberta Junior Hockey League with Don Phelps.
