Games will continue to be played exclusively on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays with the next round of game play slated for April 16th – April 25th, 2021. Each team is scheduled to play a minimum of two games per weekend within the upcoming 22 game schedule.
AJHL Cohorts (April 16th – 25th, 2021):
- Cohort #1 – Olds Grizzlys, Calgary Canucks
- Cohort #2 – Drumheller Dragons, Okotoks Oilers (April 23-25th weekend only)
- Cohort #3 – Bonnyville Pontiacs, Whitecourt Wolverines
- Cohort #4 – Sherwood Park Crusaders, Brooks Bandits
- Cohort #5 – Grande Prairie Storm, Fort McMurray Oil Barons
- Cohort #6 – Spruce Grove Saint, Drayton Valley Thunder
The team cohort groupings and schedule format for the final four weeks of the season (April 26th – May 23rd) will be determined based on Provincial health restrictions.
AJHL teams have committed to utilizing private PCR testing through DynaLIFE on a weekly basis throughout the season. If a member of the AJHL cohort – players or staff – test positive for COVID-19 at any point in the season, the team is required to isolate and suspend all in-person team activities for 14 days.
Enhanced daily screening for all AJHL players and team staff is monitored through the SureHire Risk Assessment App. Teams will be diligent in following the Government of Alberta’s COVID-19 Public Health Guidelines in order to best protect themselves and our AJHL communities.
Spectators are not currently permitted at AJHL games due to provincial restrictions, however, all games will be broadcast on HockeyTV.
