Alumni Oliver Chau & Matt Murray Crowned NCAA Div I Champions

AJHL alumni Oliver Chau (Brooks Bandits) and Matt Murray (Spruce Grove Saints) were crowned National Champions at the 2021 NCAA Men’s Frozen Four Championship as the University of Massachusetts defeated St. Cloud State 5-0 on April 10th.  

Eight AJHL alumni competed in the 2021 NCAA Frozen Four Tournament on April 8th & 10th in Pittsburgh, PA, including three alumni on the other side of the ice in the championship game for the St Cloud State Huskies.

Seven members of the University of Massachusetts Minutemen are CJHL alumni, including team  captain Jake Gaudet (Kemptville 73s/CCHL).

In March, the Marian Sabres captured the 2021 Harris Cup as NCAA Division III Champions after sweeping Milwaukee School of Engineering. Nine Alberta Junior Hockey League alumni and 22 CJHL alumni were also members of the championship squad, including Sophomore  Colby Muise  (Bonnyville Pontiacs), who earned the MVP Award for the tournament.  

The Alberta Junior Hockey League continues to be a premier developmental League in Canada for student-athletes striving to capitalize on their athletic and academic abilities. Each season, over 300 AJHL Alumni compete on College and University teams across North America.
