AJHL Bandits think big

The secret blueprint to wins doesn’t exist.

The formula used by the Brooks Bandits to rattle off 20 straight victory to start the season — a new AJHL mark — wasn’t anything outside the box.

Lots of offence. Solid special teams play. Great goaltending. And a friendly bounce from that frozen rubber disc once in a while.

“I think some of it was a little bit of luck,” Bandits head coach Ryan Papaioannou said. “There were nights were weren’t playing our best, but we were still finding ways to win. Obviously, we had real good offensive contributions from everybody. Our special teams have been great, and the key to everything was our goaltending.”
