Alex Marcinew Commits to Red Deer College

The Calgary Canucks are proud to announce that Alex Marcinew has committed to attend Red Deer College of the ACAC for the 2013-2014 season.

Marcinew, a 20 year old Calgary native, played the in the AJHL for three years. He played for the Canucks for 1+ seasons after being acquired by the Canucks in a trade during the 2011-2012 season. Alex was named an assistant captain within days of his arrival, and stayed the team assistant captain for his full tenure with the Canucks. He was able to lead both on and off the ice and played in all key situations. Alex will be a valuable asset for the Red Deer hockey program, and the Canucks are very proud of Alex’s decision to attend Red Deer College.
