Bandits Pour on Offence in Middle Frame to Extend Series

SPRUCE GROVE  – All year, the Spruce Grove Saints have won more than their share of games with a run-and-gun style.

Friday night, the Brooks Bandits beat the Saints at their own game.

Brooks scored four unanswered second period goals in just under 10 minutes to steal a 6-4 win and sent the AJHL final back to Brooks Sunday night for Game 6 with the Saints up 3-2 in the series.

It’s the second straight elimination games Brooks has won. Brooks also scored as many goals as they had in the first four games of the series.

Even though most of the 1,616 fans went home disappointed, it was firewagon hockey at its finest.
