The 2025-26 AJHL MVP, Top Scorer and Top forward has accepted a scholarship to attend the University of Alaska Anchorage (NCAA Div I) to play for the Seawolves next season.
The Pickering, ON, product rewrote the Wolverines record book in his three seasons with the club. He leaves the team as the regular season all time leader in point, goals and PP goals while also setting a single season Wolverines record with 46 goals this past season.
“Jalen earned this opportunity by working extremely hard, evolving his game and staying loyal to the Wolverines organization,” stated Head Coach Shawn Martin.
“Words cannot describe how proud I am of his accomplishments, and I am very intrigued to see what he can attain in Anchorage playing for the Seawolves program.”
Jalen had this to say about his commitment, “I am very excited to further my education and continue my hockey career at Alaska Anchorage. Playing Division I hockey has been a goal of mine for a long time now, and I couldn’t have done it without the constant support from the Whitecourt community.
It’s not his accomplishment alone added Bianchet, “I want to specifically thank Shawn and all of the Wolverines staff, Cory and Terriann, my billet family the Flynn’s, and my teammates.”
