Whenever Don Cherry is on television, people stop to watch. His highly rated Coach’s Corner segment has been a staple of Hockey Night in Canada for the past 25 years with co-host Ron MacLean, and the tradition will continue this Saturday night during the first intermission of the Toronto Maple Leafs and Montreal Canadiens game taking place at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto.
Only this time, rather than being inside the comforts of the studio, Cherry and MacLean will broadcast the segment from a platform constructed at the Centennial Civic Centre, during the Lloydminster Bobcats’ Alberta Junior League game against the Sherwood Park Crusaders.
