No one needs to tell Cale Makar, a defenceman with the Brooks Bandits, Alberta’s final competitive hockey club still playing this spring.
“I saw that the other day in one of the articles in one of the Calgary papers – that we were one of the last teams,” Makar said. “It’s definitely pretty cool to think about.
“We’re the highest-level team in Alberta right now.
