Canada East beat their Canadian rivals for the first time in six tries all-time at the tournament, and will meet the two-time defending gold medalists from the United States in Thursday’s late semifinal. Canada West will now play Switzerland for 5th place on Friday.
Team Canada West Captain Rhett Gardner (Okotoks Oilers), Ryley Risling (Canmore Eagles) and Tyler Busch (Spruce Grove Saints) each picked up a point in the battle.
