Nolan Huysmans of the Okotoks Oilers is the Canalta Hotels AJHL Player of the Week following the 2011 AJHL Showcase. Huysmans recorded 9 points (4G, 5A) in 4 games, including two powerplay goals. Nolan was also selected as the Pro Hockey Life Player of the Game twice over the week.
Huysmans is a 19 year-old forward from Ponoka, AB and a third year veteran of the AJHL. He is averaging 1.4 points per game in the 2011-2012 AJHL Regular Season and is currently tied for 8th spot among the AJHL Scoring Leaders.
