Canucks In The Community – The First Shift

The Calgary Canucks spent some time on Saturday, October 28th at the Canadian Tire – The First Shift program helping kids get in the game. The Canucks participated last season in the program (http://calgarycanucks.ca/media-centre/news-archives.html?rYear=&nID=10703) and had the opportunity to contribute again this season.

The First Shift programs aims to introduce boys and girls between the ages of 6 to 10 to the game of hockey and get them enrolled in minor hockey. The kids are fitted for brand new Bauer hockey equipment and get the opportunity to participate in on-ice sessions.

The Canucks players helped out with the equipment fitting day for the kids and were able to hand out some autographs to the new hockey stars.
