The Alberta Ford Dealers AJHL Player of the Month is Sherwood Park Crusaders forward Carter Savoie.
Savoie (St Albert, AB) is second in League scoring with 17 points (9G, 8A) and is averaging 2.4 points per game. He is tied for the most goals (9) and most game winning goals (2) following the first month of the regular season. The 17 year-old has recorded points in all but one game in the regular season and is on a 4-game goal streak.
Carter Savoie was also named the Canalta Hotels AJHL Player of the Week after recording 8 points (5G, 3A) in two victories during the annual Showcase from September 26th-28th, including his first AJHL hat trick.
As a 16 year-old rookie, Savoie won the 2018-19 AJHL and CJHL Rookie of the Year Awards. Crater is committed to the University of Denver in the NCAA (Division I).
The Crusaders are now 7-0 to start the 2019-20 season and ranked 2nd in the latest CJHL Top 20 Weekly Rankings.
