Crusaders Hire Brad Morgan as Head Scout

SHERWOOD PARK, AB – The Sherwood Park Crusaders are proud to announce that Brad Morgan will be taking over the role as the team’s new Head of Scouting.

“I am excited to be joining the Crusaders and I appreciate the opportunity to help in continuing the club's commitment to excellence on and off the ice,” said Morgan at the time of the hiring.

Morgan was last with the Portland Winterhawks of the WHL, serving as a scout for nine seasons. Morgan also joins the Crusaders with previous AJHL experience, serving as the Head Scout and Director of Player Personnel for the Whitecourt Wolverines from 2012-2013. In addition, Morgan has worked for both the Shawinigan Cataractes (QMJHL) and International Scouting Services, serving as their Head Amateur Scout at the WHL level.

“Myself and the coaching staff are extremely excited to have Brad as part of the organization”, said General Manager Kyle Chase. “He brings a vast wealth of knowledge to the table in both the scouting and business side of the team. Brad is going to be a valuable asset to our hockey club”.

In addition to his success as a scout, Morgan has experience in many areas of hockey operations. From 2003-2004, Morgan served as the General Manager of the Lone Star Cavalry of the NAHL, posting a 28-22-6 record at the team’s helm. He’s additionally served as the Director of Sales and Marketing with the Williams Lake Timberwolves (BCHL) as well as Director of Ticket Sales for the Amarillo Rattlers/Gorillas (CHL).

Morgan joins the Crusaders replacing former head scout Vince Sinatynski, who has stepped away from his role with the organization to pursue other opportunities. The Crusaders would like to thank Vince for all the hard work and dedication he has put into the organization and wish him the best of luck in the future.

Crusaders fans can catch the team in action this Friday against the Whitecourt Wolverines. That game will be played at Average Joe’s Sports Bar at 7:30 p.m.
