Crusaders Shmoorkoff Commits to Grant MacEwan Griffins

The Sherwood Park Crusaders would like to announce that defenseman Stephen Shmoorkoff has committed to the Grant MacEwan Griffins of the ACAC for the 2015-16 season.

Shmoorkoff has played for the Crusaders for two seasons, this season at twenty years of age and also at seventeen years old during the 2011-2012 season. The two seasons in between Stephen played in the Western Hockey League with the Edmonton Oil Kings and Swift Current Broncos.

“Stephen is a big physical presence that will provide the Griffins with quality minutes on a nightly basis” says Crusaders GM/Head Coach Tim Fragle.  “We are excited to have him commit to a program that is on the rise in the ACAC under the guidance of coach Bram Stephen and they should be proud of the fact they are getting quality individual that has a high compete level” says Fragle.

The Crusaders organization would like to congratulate Stephen and his family on his commitment and would like to wish him the best in his future endeavors.
