Dragons Hire New Business Manager

The Drumheller Dragons are excited to announce the hiring of new Business Manager, Dustin Edwards.

Edwards grew up in Big Valley, AB and currently still resides on an acreage just east of there. He has spent the last 10 years with natural gas production company Ember Resources. With a passion for hockey and community, Edwards spent 6 seasons as General Manager, Coach and Director with the Big Valley Oil Kings Senior AA Hockey Club, where he helped to bolster community involvement and sponsorship of the team.

“Dustin brings a lot of experience in his previous roles with the Big Valley Oil Kings that are key to his new role with the Drumheller Dragons,” said Amanda Stahl, member of the Drumheller Dragons Management Committee. “And he has a wealth of other knowledge and experience that we believe will benefit the organization, as well.”

Edwards has a diploma in Radio and Television Communications from Western Academy Broadcasting College in Saskatoon, and is a professional announcer for the Canadian Professional Rodeo Association, PBR Canada, and Bull Riders Canada. He also has professional experience in social media management and play-by-play broadcasting.

“I'm excited to be part of what has become a staple in Drumheller,” said Edwards. “I look forward to working with the community and the businesses that have helped make this team so successful over 15 seasons. Game six of the Brooks series told me one thing: this community loves hockey. My goal is to help bring that atmosphere every time the Dragons step on the ice next season.”

Edwards begins his position with the Dragons on April 30th.
