Fort McMurray Oil Barons forward Justin Dumais is the Alberta Ford Dealers AJHL Player of the Month after leading the AJHL with 15 points in eight games through December 2025. He will enter 2026 on a five-game point streak.
Dumais (Montreal, QC) opened the month with a hat trick on December 2nd to earn his first of three Bunge AJHL Player of the Game awards in December. The 19-year-old scored seven goals, including two game winning goals, and picked up eight assists through the month. Justin recorded his second four-point game of December on the 20th as the team headed into the holiday break.
Dumais was selected as the Canalta Hotels AJHL Player of the Week for December 1st-7th, 2025. He leads the Oil Barons with 48 points (17G, 31A) in 32 regular season games and is third in the AJHL Scoring Race. He will be nominated by the Alberta Junior Hockey League for the CJHL 3 Stars of the Month Awards for December 2025.
The Fort McMurray Oil Barons are second in the Bunge AJHL North Division with a record of 6-2-1-1 in their last ten games before the holidays.
The Adapt AJHL Rookie of the Month is Bonnyville Pontiacs defenceman Liam Reed (Portland Winterhawks). The 16-year-old blueliner had six points through five games and ended the month on a three-game point streak.
Reed (Edmonton, AB) scored his first two goals of the season and added four assists in December. He was selected as the Bunge AJHL Player of the Game three times throughout the month. Liam Reed is tied for seventh among AJHL rookie defencemen with 10 points (2G, 8A).
The Bonnyville Pontiacs closed out 2025 on a three-game win streak and resume play this weekend with home games against two divisional rivals in the Grande Prairie Storm and Whitecourt Wolverines.
