The Alberta Ford Dealers AJHL Player of the Month for February 2023 is Brooks Bandits goaltender Ethan Barwick. Barwick (St Albert, AB) posted a 7-0 record and 1.29 GAA through the month, including two shutouts, and allowed just nine goals against in seven games.
The 2002-Bandit opened the month with back-to-back shutouts and leads the league with six this season. In his seventh consecutive win on February 25th, Barwick recorded his 44th victory to set a new AJHL modern day record for most wins in a single season.
Barwick leads the AJHL with 44 wins, a 1.91 GAA and is second overall with a .927 save percentage.
The Brooks Bandits awarded Barwick as the Team MVP in a pre-game ceremony on February 26th. The Lindenwood University (NCAA) commit is also a finalist for the AJHL Top Goaltender award.
The Bandits have clinched home ice advantage throughout the playoffs as the 2022-23 regular season champions and conclude the season on March 5th when they visit the Olds Grizzlys.
