HEATH ARMSTRONG COMMITS TO LONG ISLAND

Brooks, AB – The Brooks Bandits of the Alberta Junior Hockey League (AJHL) are thrilled to announce forward Heath Armstrong has committed to Long Island University (NCAA Division I).

Armstrong (Calgary, AB) is enjoying a career season with 56 points in 51 games, and is top-five in AJHL even strength scoring. Off the ice, his leadership earned him two AJHL Award nominations, the RBC Community Ambassador Award, and the Guiseppe Greatest Teammate Award. He’s also a finalist for the AJHL’s Most Dedicated Player award.

During the Bandits Award Ceremony on February 25th, he was awarded the Unsung Hero Award. Armstrong has played three seasons in Brooks, dressing in 103 regular season games, winning an AJHL Championship and Centennial Cup in 2022.

Located in Brooklyn, NY, the Long Island Sharks compete as an Independent in NCAA Division I and feature Bandits alumni Jordan Di Cicco and Chris Pappas.

Armstrong is the 17th Bandit on the 2022-23 roster to commit to an NCAA Division School, joining:
