Jade McMullen Commits to Western Michigan University

The Olds Grizzlys are pleased to announce that Forward Jade McMullen will be pursuing his education and furthering his hockey career at Western Michigan University.

Jade has had a very successful 2014/15 campaign. He currently sits with 53 points in 55 games.

“Jade is a player who, in my opinion, is the most college ready player in the League,” stated Grizzlys Head Coach Brett Hopfe.  “He brings great speed, strength and a hard shot every time he steps onto the ice.  Since being acquired he has been a leader on and off the ice for our program.  He has earned everything that has come his way and we are very excited for him.”

Jade is joining the Broncos next season with Head Coach Andy Murray who has had a very successful coaching career having coached in the NHL and now with Western Michigan.  This experience will benefit Jade down the road as he looks to move on to the next level after College.

The entire Grizzlys organization would like to congratulate Jade and his family on this accomplishment. Good luck next year as you move on to the next level of your hockey career and education.
