Jeremy Klessens Commits to Trinity Western University

The TWU Spartans Men?s Hockey team is starting to gather top prospects from various junior leagues across the country, and is excited to announce the signing of Jeremy Klessens for the upcoming Canada West season.

Klessens was an alternate captain with the Drayton Valley Thunder of the AJHL the past two seasons, where he racked up an impressive 59 points in 58 games this year. The veteran of five years in the AJHL will bring speed, scoring and leadership to the Spartan forward group in the 2020-21 campaign.

Head Coach, Barret Kropf is excited to add the scoring depth of Klessens, ?As our all-time leading scorer Evan Last rides off into his accounting career and we knew we needed to replace some fire power. Jeremy is exactly what the doctor ordered, and we will be leaning on him to fill some big shoes vacated by Evan. As a leader, and seasoned Junior A veteran, I know that he can handle the task, and we look forward to having him join Sparta and continue to add to our culture of excellence.?

The Thunder leading scorer and team MVP has this to say about jumping on board with the Spartans, ?I am super excited to join such a great school and hockey program. I am ready to get things going and start a new journey!? The incoming freshman will be studying Education in the fall, and Spartan Hockey is excited to have him be part of the transition to U-Sports.
