Kodiaks Defeat Lumber Kings

Unbeknownst to the fans at Edgeworth Centre, the Camrose Kodiaks and the Pembroke Lumber Kings met on Wednesday night with a simple rule to the game: nothing pretty allowed.

There were no highlight-reel goals, no flashy passes, and a minimum of breathtaking moments from the goaltenders. Both teams abided by the unwritten rule in the round-robin game of the Royal Bank Cup and the Kodiaks came out on top, with a 2-1 win, to improve to 3-1.

Tanner Dion lit the lamp for the Kodiaks in the second period and Tyler Jewitt struck in the third period with the game winner. Dalyn Flette was stellar in net once again for Camrose, making 28 saves.
