Lloydminster Bobcats forward Brock Krulicki is the Pizza 73 AJHL Player of the Week for January 9th-15th, 2023. Krulicki led the AJHL in scoring with seven points (5G, 2A) and extended his multi-point game streak to four games.
Brock Krulicki (Wellesley, ON) opened the scoring for Lloydminster on January 11th then added an assist in a 9-3 loss to the division leading Spruce Grove Saints. On January 13th, Brock scored his fifth game winning goal of the season to defeat the Drayton Valley Thunder 7-1 and recorded an assist. The Bobcats would defeat the Thunder again on January 14th with Krulicki recording his first AJHL hat trick in a 7-3 win.
Krulicki (2002) is second in team scoring with 30 points (21G, 9A) in 33 games played during his first season with the Bobcats.
The Alberta Ford Dealers AJHL Defensive Player of the Week is Breck McKinley of the Spruce Grove Saints. The Bowling Green University (NCAA) commit recorded five points (1G, 4A) in two multi-point games.
McKinley (St Albert, AB) collected three assists on January 11th as the Saints dominated the Bobcats 9-3. The 2003-born defenceman scored a goal and recorded his 29th assist of the season on January 13th with a 7-4 win versus the Bonnyville Pontiacs. The Spruce Grove Saints are first in the Viterra AJHL North Division and have gone 17 games without a regulation time loss.
Breck serves as an Alternate Captain for the Saints and is currently fourth in scoring among AJHL defencemen with 38 points (9G, 29A).
The Inter Pipeline AJHL Rookie of the Week is Sherwood Park Crusaders forward Brock Souch. The 2006-born rookie posted five points (2G, 3A) in three victories for the Cru.
Souch and the Sherwood Park Crusaders opened a three-game road trip with back-to-back wins in Fort McMurray. Brock added an assist in the 4-2 game on January 13th and a goal in the 4-3 shootout victory on January 14th. Souch recorded a season-high three-point game on January 15th with a goal and two assists as the Crusaders defeated the Bonnyville Pontiacs 6-5.
Brock Souch (Edmonton, AB) is tied for third in team scoring with 24 points (9G, 15A).
