KEIFER MILLER COMMITS TO THE COLLEGE OF HOLY CROSS CRUSADERS

(Spruce Grove, AB) – The Spruce Grove Saints are proud to announce rookie forward Keifer Miller has committed to the College of Holy Cross Crusaders – who compete in the Atlantic Hockey Conference in the NCAA Men’s Division I Hockey.

Miller has had a fantastic rookie campaign with the Saints, registering seven goals and 10 assists, accompanied by 24 penalty minutes in 31 games played. Miller is red hot currently, putting up seven points in his last four games.

Saints Head Coach Bram Stephen spoke about Miller’s commitment saying, “Keifer’s intelligence, skill set and ability to adapt and learn makes him such an exciting recruit for the NCAA level. Keifer has made an excellent choice to attend a strong academic program that is on the rise, we are excited about his future both with the Saints and with Holy Cross.”

The 5’11”, 160-pound right shot forward will become the second Saint to commit and attend the College of Holy Cross, joining current teammate and future Crusader Brandon Spaulding. The College of Holy Cross is located in Worcester, Massachusetts. Founded in 1843, Holy Cross is one of the oldest post-secondary institutions in the United States.

The Banff, AB native and Edge School product spoke about his recent commitment. “I am very honored to announce my commitment to further my education and hockey career at Holy Cross. Having the opportunity to play in the NCAA has been a goal of mine for a long time. I am very grateful for the support and encouragement I have received in pursuing this dream of mine. I would like to thank my family, teammates, coaches, friends, the Edge School, and the Spruce Grove Saints organization for supporting me and pushing me to reach this accomplishment. I also want to specifically thank Holy Cross for believing in me. I can’t wait to see what the future holds.”

Miller now joins Ewan McPherson (American International College), Morgan Brady (Arizona State), Luigi Benincasa (Ferris State), Liam Watkins (Nebraska-Omaha), Breck McKinley (Bowling Green), Alexander Babich (Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute), Carter Oakenfold (Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute) and Brandon Spaulding (Holy Cross) as committed players to NCAA Divisions I Universities this season.

The entire Saints organization would like to congratulate Keifer and his family on his commitment.

The Spruce Grove Saints are currently first in the AJHL North Division and have gone 18 games without a regulation time loss. The Saints are on the road this weekend for a pair of games against the Bonnyville Pontiacs, before returning home on Wednesday, Jan 25th for matchup against the Drayton Valley Thunder.
