The Lloydminster Bobcats are excited to be hosting a unique experience for kids to have the field trip of the year and watch hockey in the middle of the day! This winter, the first annual Lloydminster Hockey Hooky Day, will have students on the edge of their seats as they will experience the excitement of an AJHL game, during school hours!
The Bobcats are teaming up with the Lloydminster Public School Division to welcome 1400 students from grades 3-6 into the Civic Center! The game begins at 12 noon on Wednesday January 24th against the Sherwood Park Crusaders. This is a regular season game for the Bobcats so we hope the atmosphere in the building will help us get a win!
“As an organization we are very excited and feel very fortunate to offer this opportunity for the young students in the Lloydminster Public School Division,” Bobcats President Brent Mohrbutter said. “Having roughly 1400 kids in the crowd is going to create a crazy atmosphere for our team, and hopefully it will help push them to a big win.”
We are still looking for corporate partners to be a part of the experience by purchasing tickets for the students at $10 per seat. The ultimate goal would be a sellout of $14,000!
This is an experience that the kids will not soon forget and you have the opportunity to be a part of it from the ground up. We hope this will be an annual event and your help will ensure its success.
