Lutic (St Albert, AB) scored his first goal of the season on September 23rd then added a second goal and three assists to lift the Eagles 9-4 over the Olds Grizzlys. On September 27th Will notched two assists in a 6-1 victory over the visiting Bonnyville Pontiacs, followed by a goal and an assist on home ice the next day versus the Lloydminster Bobcats in a 6-4 win. He was named the Bunge AJHL Player of the Game in all three Eagles victories.
Goaltender Noah Nelson is the Alberta Ford Dealers AJHL Defensive Player of the Week with a 2-0 record and .959 save percentage in back-to-back wins for his hometown Calgary Canucks.
Nelson (2005) allowed just one goal against in a 4-1 final versus the Lloydminster Bobcats on September 27th and was selected as the Bunge AJHL Player of the Game. He made 37 saves the next day in a 4-2 win over the Bonnyville Pontiacs to bring his regular season record to 3-0 in September.
With five points (2G, 3A) in three games played, Gavin Harrison (Swift Current Broncos) of the Bonnyville Pontiacs has been selected as the Inter Pipeline AJHL Rookie of the Week. The 16 year-old forward leads all AJHL rookies with eight points (3G, 5A).
Harrison (Cold Lake, AB) extended his point streak to five games on a three-game road trip through the Bunge AJHL South Division. He opened the weekend with two goals and an assist in a 9-4 win over the Olds Grizzlys, then added an assist in losses versus the Eagles and Canucks.
