The NHL is currently seeking candidates for its 2011 NHL Exposure program. NHL Exposure is a one day event at which hockey players will be introduced to the profession of officiating as a possible career opportunity. If you have a player you feel would be interested in learning more about officiating, please send name, email, telephone number and hockey experience to: exposure@nhl.com
The event will take place in Toronto at the NHL office June 24-25, 2011. Candidates will arrive to Toronto on Friday and depart in the late afternoon of the following day. Travel and accommodation will be covered by the NHL for those candidates chosen to attend. There is no on ice component.
What makes a good candidate?
- Great skating skills and an instinct for the game
- Just finished or is near completing university/college
- Has hopes of continuing to play hockey professionally but would like to consider other options
How to nominate a candidate/yourself?
- Reply to this email with the name, email, telephone number and hockey experience of the player you would like to nominate
- Players may apply directly by providing their contact information and a paragraph on their hockey experience
- Space is limited to the top 20 candidates!
