The Fort McMurray Oil Barons are pleased to announce that they have added former player, and hometown boy, Ryan Allen to the coaching staff for the 2012-2013 season. Ryan will join Head Coach Gord Thibodeau's staff as an Assistant Coach.
Ryan played parts of 5 seasons with the Oil Barons where he appeared in 215 games scoring 64 goals and adding 81 assists. After graduating from the MOB, Ryan attended Brock University where he graduated with a Bachelor of Physical Education with Honors. While attending Brock he also played for the Badgers in the Canadian Interuniversity Sports (CIS) league for 5 years.
Along with carrying out his role as an Assistant Coach, Ryan's duties will include implementing and overseeing the Strength and Conditioning Program for the Oil Barons.
