Okotoks Oilers Gift Local Families

OKOTOKS – The Foothills Special Needs Association for Parents and Siblings (SNAPS), announced today that their members will enjoy junior hockey this season thanks to the generosity of the Okotoks Oilers. The donation, which also includes playoff games, is supported by Century 21 Foothills Real Estate.

Dallas Hand, Business & Marketing Manager for the Okotoks Oilers explains, “This is what our organization is all about, being a responsible member of the community. These families have so much on their plate as it is, and we are honored to treat them to a season full of Okotoks Oilers hockey.”

Only families who are already registered with SNAPS are eligible to receive this generous package. The entire family, plus the caregivers may come to the games for free. The program will run for the remainder of the regular season as well as the playoffs.

Denis Tetreau, President of the Foothills SNAPS chapter said, “We are thrilled to have received these family passes from the Okotoks Oilers. This kind of entertainment is a wonderful gift for these families.”

The Okotoks Oilers have 21 home games left in their regular season this year, and the families who hold a Family Fun Zone card will be able to see them all. Families may pick up their fun zone cards at the SNAPS office at 335B Macleod Trail, High River.

SNAPS is an organization whose mission is to focus on inclusive communities by enhancing the lives of individuals with special needs through family support.
