The Bonnyville Pontiacs and Whitecourt Wolverines will open the 50 game AJHL Pre-Season tonight with a game at the RJ Lalonde Arena in Bonnyville, AB. The Exhibition Season will be in full swing as the Camrose Kodiaks and Okotoks Oilers host tournaments beginning on Thursday.
The 2015 Exhibition Season will include interleague games and a number of games outside of AJHL communities. The Brooks Bandits and Grande Prairie Storm have scheduled pre-season games against BCHL opponents; the Bandits will battle the Penticton Vees on September 4th and 5th while the Storm will host the Prince George Spruce Kings on September 1st.
The Bandits will also host the Kindersley Klippers of the SJHL in Brooks on September 2nd. The Lloydminster Bobcats will continue their tradition of competing against an SJHL opponent with exhibition match ups against the Battlefords North Stars on September 4th in Wainwright, Alberta and September 5th in Lloydminster.
Grande Prairie and Drayton Valley will bring the AJHL to High Level, Alberta for a second consecutive year with pre-season games on September 4th and 5th. Mayerthorpe, Alberta will play host to an AJHL exhibition game on September 6th when the Whitecourt Wolverines host the Lloydminster Bobcats.
The 2015 AJHL Pre-Season schedule will also include split squad games as the Drayton Valley Thunder will have split-squad teams entered in the Camrose Kodiaks tournament from August 27th – 29th. The Canmore Eagles and Olds Grizzlys will also play split-squad games on September 1st with games simultaneously in both AJHL communities.

The 2015-2016 AJHL Regular Season will consist of 16 teams playing 60 games apiece, including 16 games at the 9th Annual AJHL Showcase from October 1st – 3rd, 2015 in the new host community of Camrose, Alberta. The AJHL Regular Season will open on Friday, September 11th and conclude on March 6th, 2016.
