Public Ticket Sales Begin for 2019 RBC Cup

Ticket packages are now on sale to the general public for the 2019 Junior A National Championship Tournament in Brooks, Alberta, it was announced today.

The event will be held from May 11th – 19th, 2019 at the Centennial Regional Arena, home of the host Brooks Bandits of the Alberta Junior Hockey League (AJHL), who will face four regional Junior A champions in a quest for their second national title, after having won the 2013 RBC Cup in Summerside, PEI.

A full tournament package, which includes a seat at all 10 round-robin games, both semi-finals, and the national championship final, is available for just $191, an average of just $14.69 per game, less than the cost of an AJHL regular season game. Any tickets a package holder does not wish to use can be returned to the Host Committee for resale, and each returned ticket will enter the package holder in a draw for great Hockey Canada and Brooks Bandits prizes.

To purchase packages, visit rbctickets.hockeycanada.ca, visit the Bandits’ office at the Centennial Regional Arena, or call (403) 501-0122.

As a special Father’s Day Weekend offer, anyone who completes a full tournament package purchase online from Friday, June 15th to Monday, June 18th will receive a gift courtesy of Hockey Canada, as well as be entered into a draw to win a Cale Makar Team Canada replica jersey.

The public sales campaign follows up a limited sale period in which Bandit season ticket holders were able to reserve their seats for a $50 deposit. Those who took advantage of the deposit have until November 30th, 2018 to complete their remaining $141 payment through their online account or at the Bandits’ office. Anyone who makes their final payment during the Father’s Day promotion will also receive a gift and be entered in the Makar jersey draw.

“We would like to thank Bandit season ticket holders for their incredible response, with already 47% of available tournament ticket packages sold,” said Tyler King, chair of the event host committee. “We’re happy to be able to now let the public in Brooks and across the country secure their spot at the biggest sports event to hit this region.”

Single game tickets will likely not go on sale until much closer to the tournament date, so ticket packages are the best and most cost-effective way to ensure a seat at the national championship tournament.
