RBC teams up with AJHL to help more kids in Alberta

RBC has committed to donate $2 to KidSport Alberta for every powerplay goal scored during the 2022-23 AJHL season.  RBC’s donation will result in kids all over Alberta benefitting from grant funding to cover registration fees for participation in their sport.

“We’re thrilled to be selected as beneficiaries of this initiative between RBC and the AJHL,” said Kelly Oehlerking, KidSport Alberta Interim Executive Director. “This partnership will help even more kids participate in sports across our province. It’s so important because we know the opportunity to participate in sports can teach valuable skills and develop self confidence that will help kids through the rest of their lives.”

INFORMATION ABOUT KidSport:
KidSport is a national not-for-profit organization that helps remove financial barriers that prevent kids from playing sport by providing assistance for registration fees and sport equipment to children aged 18 and under.

KidSport grants are administered through a confidential application process through KidSport’s 166 community chapters so kids can play a season of organized sport. Nearly 40 of the national KidSport chapters are located in Alberta, including 11 towns/cities that are home to AJHL teams.
