The Lloydminster Junior A Bobcats’ playoff run came to an end last Friday at the hands of the Spruce Grove Saints, but the team now has one month to prep for their biggest showing of the year, the 2016 RBC Cup.
The week-long tournament is being hosted in Lloydminster by the Bobcats, and all games will be played at the Centennial Civic Centre from May 14 to 22. The ‘Cats proved themselves in the playoffs, eliminating the Drayton Valley Thunder and Whitecourt Wolverines, but weren’t able to hold off the AJHL’s top team, the Spruce Grove Saints.
Going forward, the team has a busy schedule before the start of the tournament, with the intent of having everyone healthy and in peak physical condition.
