The first recipient of the Alberta Ford Dealers AJHL Player of the Month award is Tyler Busch of the Spruce Grove Saints. Busch registered points in 7 of 8 games throughout September 2015 with 5 goals, 7 assists and 12 points.
Busch leads the AJHL in scoring with 16 points and 3 game winning goals. The three year veteran of the Saints was selected as the Viterra AJHL Player of the Game on September 12th when he scored the game winning goal over the Fort McMurray Oil Barons during opening weekend.
Tyler Busch and the Saints are the only undefeated team in the Alberta Junior Hockey League and just one of three undefeated teams in the CJHL. The Saints are 10-0-0 in the regular season. The 20 year-old captain from Lloydminster, AB has committed to Ohio State.
The Alberta Junior Hockey League is pleased to partner with the Alberta Ford Dealers Association and will recognize the AJHL Player of the Month throughout the regular season. The AJHL and Ford have also introduced the Alberta Ford Dealers Goalie of the Week Award for the 2015-2016 season.
