Tonight in the AJHL – Game Night Wrap Up (November)

All but two teams were in action on the final day of November for the AJHL.  The Spruce Grove Saints were in Calgary to take on the Canucks. The Saints have won four in a row coming in while the Canucks were looking to build off their 6-3 win over the Mustangs on Thursday. Brooks traveled west to take on the Canmore Eagles. The Bandits have won seven in a row while the Eagles were looking to bounce back from their 4-3 loss to Spruce Grove on Friday night. Drayton Valley continued their south road trip in Okotoks. The Thunder have dropped six straight while the Oilers have won six straight games. Whitecourt was on the road to take on Sherwood Park. The Wolverines were looking to build on their 3-2 win over Fort McMurray last Saturday while the Crusaders were looking to bounce back from a 2-1 loss to Camrose on Friday. Olds continued their north road trip in Lloydminster. The Grizzlys were trying to rebound from a 4-1 loss to Bonnyville on Friday night while the Bobcats were trying to build off their 6-5 win over Bonnyville on Wednesday. Camrose paid a visit to Drumheller; the Kodiaks have won their last five games while the Dragons were trying to snap a three game slide. Grande Prairie played their second consecutive night in Fort McMurray; the Oil Barons defeated the Storm 4-1 on Friday night.

Spruce Grove Saints (22-5-3) @ Calgary Canucks (10-16-4)
Matthew Murray stopped 23 of 25 shots as the Saints edge the Canucks 3-2.
The Saints would score the only goals of the frame to take a 3-0 lead. Nicolas Correale (assists to Jarid Hauptman and Brandon Biro @11:10) snapped a shot over the glove hand of Canucks (starting) goaltender Colin Cooper. Two power play goals for the Saints would give a 3-0 lead. Colton Leiter (assists to Parker Mackay and Jordan Thomas @14:42) pounced on the rebound and jammed the puck past Cooper. Josh Harris (assists to Austin Hunter and Paul Lovsin @19:24) cleaned up the rebound to make it 3-0. Shots favored the Saints 15-11 in the period.
The Canucks would get the lone goal in the second but trailed 3-1. Zach Dietrich (assists to Connor McCallum and Trent  Geiger @15:01) would wrist a shot under the blocker of Saints (starting) goaltender Matthew Murray. Shots favored the Saints 14-9 in the period and 29-20 in the hockey game.
The Canucks would score late in the period but fall 3-2 to the Saints. Zach Dietrich (assists to Michael Janz and Connor McCallum @19:19) scored his second of the night from the top of the slot. Shots favored the Saints 11-5 in the period and 40-25 in the hockey game.
The Saints will be in Bonnyville on December 5th while the Canucks will be in Sherwood Park on the same day.

Brooks Bandits (21-6-1) @ Canmore Eagles (13-15-1)
Austin Plevy had three assists as the Bandits hammered the Eagles 7-2.
The Bandits would outscore the Eagles 3-1 in the opening frame. Jeff Malott (assists to Derek Lodermeier and Adam Baughman @7:11) at the side of the net would flip the puck over Eagles (starting) goaltender Ryan Ferguson. The Eagles would respond on the power play. Matt Forchuk (assists to Lane Olson and Logan Ferguson @14:09) redirected a centering pass five-hole on Bandits (starting) goaltender Michael Fredrick. Shane Switzer (assists to Austin Plevy and Kyler Nachtigall @18:12) would hammer a one-timer over Ferguson. Just 45 seconds after that Shane Bear (assists to Alex Roberts and Mark Logan @18:57) would add to the Bandits lead as he would wrap the puck around the net. Shots favored the Bandits 16-6 in the period.
Brooks would extend their lead to 5-2 in the middle frame. On the power play, the Eagles would get within one. Matt Forchuk (assists to Lane Olson and Logan Ferguson @2:48) would score his second of the night on the rebound. Anthony Paskaruk (unassisted @12:21) kept the puck on a three on one and would put a shot under the bar to make it 4-2. Chase Clayton (assists to Charlie Marchand and Austin Plevy @18:49) cut to the front of the net and slid the puck under Ferguson. Shots favored the Eagles 8-5 in the period, The Bandits held the shot edge 21-14 in the game.
Two more goals by the Bandits in the third gave them a 7-2 victory. Derek Lodermeier (assists to Jeff Malott and Jesse Baird @0:19) cut to the middle of the ice and made no mistake to make it 6-2. The Bandits would cap off the scoring on the power play. Anthony Paskaruk (assists to Austin Plevy and Shane Bear @7:20) would drive to the front of the net and just slid the puck past Ferguson. Shots favored the Bandits 10-1 in the period and 31-15 in the hockey game.
The Bandits will return to action on December 2nd in Calgary against the Mustangs. The Eagles will be in Grande Prairie on December 6th.

Drayton Valley Thunder (10-13-5) @ Okotoks Oilers (21-7-3)
Nic Renyard stopped 19 of 20 shots as the Oilers edged the Thunder 2-1.
The Oilers and Thunder would exchange power play goals in the first and be tied 1-1. Darian Henry (assists to Mitch Collett and Stephen Doane @9:07) with a toe drag fired a shot from the right faceoff circle over the blocker of Thunder (starting) goaltender Garrett Mason. Jamie Waddington (assists to Hayden Dawes and Bret Smythe @18:23) was open on the right side and snapped a shot past the blocker of Oilers (starting) goaltender Nic Renyard. Shots were even 10-10 in the period.
The Oilers would score the lone goal to take a 2-1 lead after two. Tucker Bender (assists to Nolan Thompson and Frankie Spellman @17:05) snapped a shot blocker side on Mason from the right faceoff circle. Shots favored the Oilers 10-8 in the period and 20-18 in the hockey game.
Neither team would be able to score in the final frame as the Oilers hand on for a 2-1 win. Shots favored the Oilers 5-2 in the period and 25-20 in the hockey game.
Drayton Valley will host Lloydminster on December 4th while Okotoks will host Fort McMurray on December 5th.

Whitecourt Wolverines (8-17-4) @ Sherwood Park Crusaders (16-13-3)
Tyler Maltby scored a hat trick and added an assist as the Crusaders edged the Wolverines 6-5.
The Crusaders would score three late period goals to take a 3-2 lead on the Wolverines after one. John Mullally (assist to Bryson Traptow @4:02) took advantage of a miscue by Crusaders (starting) goaltender Zac Klassen and put the puck into an open goal. Morgan Messenger (assist to Ryan McKinnon @15:19) would keep on pushing and finally jam the puck past Klassen. Just 38 seconds later Ryan Kruper (assists to Tyler Maltby and Ben Sowa @15:57) on the rebound would get the Crusaders within one beating Wolverines (starting) goaltender Pierce Dushenko. Tyler Maltby (assist to Ryan Kruper @17:17) would poke the rebound five-hole on Dushenko to tie the game at 2-2. On the power play, the Crusaders would take the lead. Tyler Maltby (assist to Ben Sowa @19:54) snapped his second of the night over the glove of Dushenko. Shots favored the Wolverines 11-10 in the opening period.
Two goals by both teams had the Crusaders hanging on to a 5-4 lead after two. John Mullally (assist to Erik Pedersen @1:32) would win the race to the puck and snap his second of the night over the blocker of Klassen. The Wolverines would retake the lead on the power play. Trace Elson (assist to Joseph Nardi @3:48) would snap a one-timer from the slot past the blocker of Klassen. Pierce Dushenko was then injured as the Crusaders were driving for the game tying goal. Tyler Maltby (unassisted @14:32) completed his hat trick as he intercepted a pass and wristed a shot over Wolverines (backup) goaltender Tanner McCorriston. Lane Zablocki (assist to Tanner Laderoute @17:32) would beat McCorriston short side to restore the Crusaders lead. Shots favored the Wolverines 14-7 in the period and 25-17 in the hockey game.
Both teams were able to score in the third frame as the Crusaders earn a 6-5 victory. Deschenko would return to the goal to start the third period. The Crusaders added to their lead on the power play. Arthur Gordon (assists to Tyler Maltby and Chris McKay @8:59) on the rebound would beat Deschenko five-hole. Erik Pedersen (assist to Bryson Traptow @15:04) would whack at the puck, and it would trickle across the line. Shots favored the Crusaders 8-7 in the period. Whitecourt would outshoot Sherwood Park 32-25 in the hockey game.
Whitecourt will host Camrose on December 6th while Sherwood Park will be in Lloydminster on December 2nd.

Olds Grizzlys (13-12-4) @ Lloydminster Bobcats (17-9-3)

The Grizzlys would find the back of the net twice in the opening frame to lead 2-0. Kyle Moore (assists to BJ Duffin and Jack Goranson @10:06) tipped the point shot five-hole on Bobcats (starting) goaltender Ryan Ternes. Just 36 seconds later Alex Brewer (assist to Cale Brown @10:42) snapped a shot short side on Ternes. Shots favored the Bobcats 11-7 in the period.
Olds would double their lead to 5-1 over the Bobcats in the second. Kyle Moore (assist to Tyrell Mappin @8:07) scored his second of the night from the left faceoff circle to make it 3-0. That would be the end of the night for Ryan Ternes as he would give up Three goals on 12 shots. Lukas Biensch (assists to Patrick Geary and Tyler Kunz @10:44) would snap a one-timer from the slot over the glove of Grizzlys (starting) goaltender Jesse Gordichuk. A minute later BJ Duffin (assists to Tyrell Mappin and Kyle Moore @11:43) would restore the Grizzlys three goal lead on a goal mouth scramble beating Bobcats (backup) goaltender Devin Green. Christopher Gerrie (assists to Tyrell Mappin and Jack Goranson @17:28) stopped the puck in the slot and tucked the puck around Green to make it 5-1. Shots favored the Grizzlys 12-8 in the period and were even 19-19 in the game.
The Bobcats would score twice but fall 5-3 to the Grizzlys. On the power play, the Bobcats would get within three. Linden Springer (unassisted @3:18) goes coast to coast and then bar down on Gordichuk. Tyler Kunz (assist to Austin Yaremchuk @18:13) shot from the top of the slot bounced off a stick and over Gordichuk. Shots favored the Bobcats 17-4 in the period and 36-23 in the hockey game.
Olds will return home on December 5th to take on the Calgary Mustangs while the Bobcats will host Sherwood Park on December 2nd.

Camrose Kodiaks (23-3-2) @ Drumheller Dragons (17-7-5)
Brett Njaa scored twice and added an assist as the Kodiaks doubled up the Dragons 4-2.
Both teams would score in the first as the Dragons and Kodiaks were tied 1-1. Ryan Jevne (assist to Carson Pickett @6:17) split the defense and fired a shot over the glove of Kodiaks (starting) goaltender Patrick Gora. While shorthanded the Kodiaks would tie the game. Brett Njaa (assist to Cam Gotaas @12:42) finished off a two on one beating Dragons (starting) goaltender Jonny Hogue over the shoulder. Shots were even 8-8 in the period.
Neither team would be able to find the back of the goal in the second. Shots favored the Dragons 11-8 in the period and 19-16 in the hockey game.
The Kodiaks would outscore the Dragons 3-1 to earn a 4-2 victory. Cam Gotaas (assists to Brett Njaa and Jack Thomas @4:46) took a back door pass and flipped the puck over Hogue's glove. Cole McBride (unassisted @9:20) stole the puck and would backhand the puck five-hole on Hogue. Brett Njaa (unassisted @12:03) drove to the front of the net and picked the short side post on Hogue. Dakota Zaharichuk (assists to Cody Fiala and Hunter Mills @18:16) tipped the shot from the point that got behind Gora. Shots favored the Kodiaks 11-8 in the period and were even 27-27 in the game.
The Kodiaks will be in Grande Prairie on December 5th while Drumheller will be in Olds on December 2nd.

Grande Prairie Storm (11-20-0) @ Fort McMurray Oil Barons (15-12-3)
Brett Lewchuk stopped 33 of 34 shots as the Oil Barons defeated the Storm 3-1.
Neither team would be able to score in the opening frame. Shots favored the Oil Barons 11-7.
The Oil Barons would outscore the Storm to take a 2-1 lead after two. Shawn Weber (assists to Jackson McKinstry and Jordan Xavier @6:29) chipped the puck that would just trickle across the line past Storm (starting) goaltender Logan Thompson. The Storm would answer on the power play. Stefen Seel (assist to Brenden Montgomery @7:54) spun around in front of the net and poked the puck past Oil Barons (starting) goaltender Brett Lewchuk. Kyle Star (assist to Jetlan Houcher @12:09) was wide open on the right side as he would flip the puck over the blocker of Thompson. Shots favored the Storm 15-10 in the period and 22-21 in the hockey game.
The Oil Barons would score the lone goal in the third to earn a 3-1 victory. Austin Holmes (assist to Danton Ayotte @15:58) redirected the puck into the net on a cross ice feed. Shots favored the Storm 12-11 in the period and 34-32 in the hockey game.
Grande Prairie will host Camrose on December 5th while Fort McMurray will host Bonnyville on December 2nd.

Six games were played on Friday night in the AJHL. Drayton Valley traveled to Brooks looking to snap a five game slide while the Bandits came in having won six straight. Spruce Grove opened up a south road trip in Canmore. The Saints came in on a three game winning streak while the Eagles were looking to build on a 10-5 win over the Mustangs on Tuesday. Drumheller was looking to snap a two game losing streak as they headed to Okotoks; the Oilers have won five straight. Camrose paid a visit to Sherwood Park. The Kodiaks have won four in a row while the Crusaders were looking to build off a 5-3 win over the Mustangs on Sunday. The Grizzlys opened up a two game north road trip in Bonnyville. TheGrizzlys entered the game on a two game winning streak while the Pontiacs have dropped their last two games. Grande Prairie made the trip East to take on the Fort McMurray Oil Barons. The Storm were looking to build off their 3-2 win over Drayton Valley eight days ago while the Oil Barons were looking to rebound from a 3-2 loss to Whitecourt last Saturday.

Drayton Valley Thunder (10-13-4) @ Brooks Bandits (20-6-1)
Austin Plevey scored four times as the Bandits took out the Thunder 5-4 in overtime.
Both teams would find the back of the net twice in the opening stanza.  Jason Miller (assists to Ty Bettac and Nathan Deyell @1:52) stepped across the line and wristed a shot over the glove of Bandits (starting) goaltender Josh Davies. Just 58 seconds after that Jeff Malott (assists to Derek Lodermeier and Nick Prkusic @2:50) would jam the rebound five-hole on Thunder (staring) goaltender Marc-Olivier Daigle. Jason Miller (assist to Nathan Deyell @12:50) scored his second of the night as Davies got a piece of the shot but not enough. The Bandits would tie the game on the power play. Austin Plevy (assists to Chase Clayton and Jared Cockrell @16:40) walked along the blue line and snapped a shot past Daigle. Shots favored the Bandits 18-5 in the period.
Neither team could break the 2-2 tie in the middle frame. Shots favored the Thunder 11-9 in the period, the Bandits held the shot edge 27-16 in the hockey game.
The Thunder and Bandits score twice each in the third frame. Brayden Harris (assists to Michael Cardinal and Jacob Wachowicz @2:09) from his knees would fire the puck into an open goal. The Bandits would tie the game on the power play. Austin Plevy (assists to Shane Bear and Chase Clayton @10:26) would pick the far post for his second of the night. Trevor Poirier (assists to Jamie Waddington and Brett Smythe @19:12) found the puck in the slot and fired the puck past Davies. Austin Plevy (assist to Mark Logan @19:56) would finish off a miscue by the Thunder behind the net and tie the game with his third goal of the night. Shots favored the Thunder 11-9 in the third period, the Bandits held the shot edge 36-27 in the hockey game.
Overtime lasts less than a minute before the Bandits can win the game. Austin Plevy (unassisted @0:45) cut to the net and backhanded the puck past Daigle. Shots favored the Bandits 1-0 in the period and 37-27 in the hockey game.
Both teams will be on the road on November 29th. The Thunder will be in Okotoks while Brooks will be in Canmore.

Spruce Grove Saints (21-5-3) @ Canmore Eagles (13-14-1)
Jarid Hauptman had a goal, and an assist as the Saints edged the Eagles 4-3.
The Eagles would score the lone goal of the opening frame. Jordan Revie (assists to Ryley Risling and Matt Forchuck @1:36) one timed a shot five-hole on Saints (starting) goaltender Brett Zarowny. Shots favored the Saints 10-8 in the period.
The Saints would outscore the Eagles 3-1 in the middle stanza. Riley Simpson (assists to Zach Paterson and Macklin Pichonsky @3:15) redirected a shot from the point past Eagles (starting) goaltender Ryan Ferguson. Jake Mykitiuk (assist to Parker Mackay @12:04) from the right faceoff circle would beat Ferguson five-hole. A minute later the Saints would add to their lead. Jarid Hauptman (assists to Macklin Pichonsky and Austin Hunter @13:03) would get behind the Eagles defense and put a shot over the blocker of Ferguson. The Eagles would get within one on a penalty shot. Ryley Risling (penalty shot @19:34) would freeze Zarowny and beat him blocker side. Shots favored the Saints 16-5 in the period and 26-13 in the hockey game.
Both teams would get power play goals in the final frame. Connor James (assists to Jarid Hauptman and Brandon Biro @6:11) blasted a shot over the glove of Ferguson to make it 4-2. Just 48 seconds after that Ryley Risling (assists to Connor Wilson and Griffin Mumby @6:59) would score his second of the night on a goal mouth scramble. Shots favored the Saints 12-2 in the period and 38-15 in the hockey game.
Both teams will be in action on November 29th; the Saints will be in Calgary to take on the Canucks while the Eagles will host the Bandits.

Drumheller Dragons (17-6-5) @ Okotoks Oilers (20-7-3)
Darian Henry scored once and added two assists as the Oilers edged the Dragons 3-2.
The Oilers would score twice in the opening frame. Rhett Gardner (assist to Darian Henry @10:38) tipped the puck over the shoulder of Dragons (starting) goaltender Curtis Skip. Kyle Krabben (assists to Tanner Ockey and Barian Henry @17:57) would backhand a shot from the slot that beat Skip five-hole. Shots favored the Oilers 11-9 in the period.
Both teams get special teams goals in the middle frame. The Oilers would extend their lead on the power play early in the second. Darian Henry (assist to Stephen Doane @1:57) fired a low wrist shot that would get through Skip. The Dragons would get on the board with a shorthanded goal. Hunter Mills (assists to Wyatt Noskey and Carter Czaikowski @5:38) kept the puck on a two on one and beat Oilers (starting) goaltender Nic Renyard over the glove. Shots favored the Oilers 14-5 in the period and 25-14 in the hockey game.
The Dragons would push and get within one but couldn't find a way to tie the game. Clint Filbrandt (assists to Marcus Messier and Dakota Zaharichuk @6:28) walked along the blue line and then snapped a shot past Renyard. Shots favored the Dragons 5-3 in the period. Okotoks would outshoot Drumheller 28-19 in the hockey game.
Both teams will be at home November 29th. The Dragons will host Camrose while the Oilers will host Drayton Valley.

Camrose Kodiaks (22-3-2) @ Sherwood Park Crusaders (16-12-3)
Landon Pilger scored once and added an assist as the Kodiaks edged the Crusaders 2-1.
The Kodiaks would score twice in the opening frame. Scott Ferguson (assists to Landon Pilger and Trevor Costello @15:47) would jam the rebound past Crusaders (starting) goaltender Zac Klassen. Just 18 seconds after that Landon Pilger (assists to Dallas Bergstrom and Stephen Wack @16:05) snapped a shot glove side on Klassen to make it 2-0. Shots favored the Crusaders 12-7 in the period.
Neither team would be able to find the back of the net in the middle stanza. Shots favored the Kodiaks 3-2 in the period. Sherwood Park held the shot edge 14-10 in the hockey game.
The Crusaders would push in the third period but were unable to tie the game. On the power play, the Crusaders would get within one. Ben Sowa (assist to Liam Gregor @18:47) blasted a shot from the point that beat Kodiaks (starting) goaltender Patrick Gora.  Shots favored the Kodiaks 6-2 in the period and 16-16 in the hockey game.
Both teams will be in action on November 29th. The Crusaders will host Whitecourt while the Kodiaks will be in Drumheller.

Olds Grizzlys (13-11-4) @ Bonnyville Pontiacs (11-10-6)
Joey Desrosiers made 24 saves as the Pontiacs defeated the Grizzlys 4-1.
The Pontiacs would find the back of the net twice in the opening frame.  Ryan Piche (assist to Brady Bakke @3:11) walked across the line and slapped a shot blocker side of Grizzlys (starting) goaltender Billy Gorn. Mitch Fritz (assists to Brinson Pasichnuk and Alden Dupuis @8:30) got to a loose puck before Gorn could and pushed in into the goal. Shots favored the Pontiacs 13-9 in the period.
Neither team was able to turn on the red light in the second frame. Shots favored the Grizzlys 9-6 in the period. Bonnyville held the shot edge 19-18 in the hockey game.
The Pontiacs would outscore the Grizzlys 2-1 in the final frame. Mark Zvonkovic (assists to Chad Hurtubise and Cory Santoro @4:42) would tap the puck in on a goal mouth scramble to make it 3-0. The Grizzlys would get on the board with a power play goal. Colton Sheen (assist to Christopher Gerrie @10:28) from a sharp angle would beat Pontiacs (starting) goaltender Joey Desrosiers. The Pontiacs would finish off the scoring as Steenn Pasichnuk (assist to Dillan McCombie @19:36) redirected the puck into the empty net. Shots favored the Pontiacs 8-7 in the period and 27-25 in the hockey game.
The Grizzlys will be in Lloydminster on November 29th. The Pontiacs will be back in action on December 2nd when they travel to Fort McMurray.

Grande Prairie Storm (11-19-0) @ Fort McMurray Oil Barons (14-12-3)
Danton Ayotte scored twice as the Oil Barons defeated the Storm 4-1.
The Oil Barons would find the back of the net three times in the opening frame. On the power play, the Oil Barons would open the scoring. Mark Drohan (assists to Jetlan Houcher and Wil Tomchuk @7:09) pounced on a rebound and beat Storm (starting) goaltender Liam McLeod. Just over a minute later Danton Ayotte (assist to Isaac Ceh @8:07) drove to the front of the net and chipped the puck over the blocker of McLeod. Danton Ayotte (unassisted @11:25) scored his second of the night right off the faceoff as he would turn and fire the puck into the back of the net. That would be the end of the night for McLeod, who would give up three goals on eight shots. Shots favored the Storm 12-10 in the period.
The Storm would get the lone goal in the middle frame. Jarred Toole (assist to Austen Bietenbeck @14:15) fired a wrist shot over the blocker hand of Oil Barons (starting) goaltender Zach Fortin. Shots favored the Oil Barons 14-6 in the period and 24-18 in the hockey game.
The Oil Barons would score the lone goal of the final frame. Mitchell Vanderlaan (assist to Logan Franz @19:01) would fire the puck from the top of the slot into an empty net to ensure a 4-1 victory.
The Storm and Oil Barons will meet up in Fort McMurray on November 29th.

Just one game in the AJHL on Thursday night. The Calgary Canucks traveled across the city to take on the Calgary Mustangs. Both teams entered the game looking to snap losing streaks. The Canucks have dropped three straight while the Mustangs have lost their last eight games.

Calgary Canucks (9-16-4) @ Calgary Mustangs (7-21-2)
Connor McCallum scored once and added an assist as the Canucks doubled up the Mustangs 6-3.
The Mustangs would get both goals in the opening frame. Scott Salberg (assist to Matteo Aiello and Spencer Johnstone @3:45) got sprung on a breakaway and would beat Canucks (starting) goaltender Colin Cooper. Scott Salberg (assist to Nick Rein @14:59) poked a rebound to make it 2-0. Shots favored the Mustangs 12-10 in the period.
The Canucks would outscore the Mustangs 2-1 in the middle stanza. Josh Betinol (assists to Zach Dietrich and Tyler Benko @1:39) came out of the penalty box and out waited Mustangs (starting) Ravi Dattani. The Canucks would tie the game on the power play 35 seconds after that. Trent Geiger (assists Connor McCallum and Matthew Dykstra @2:14) chipped the puck from the left faceoff circle over the blocker of Dattani. Joe Mahon (assist to Brad Forrest @9:05) got behind the Canucks defense and would go bar down on Cooper. Shots favored the Mustangs 15-10 in the period and 27-20.
Four goals by the Canucks in the third period gave them a 6-3 victory. Cade Owad (assist to Michael Janz @2:08) found the bouncing puck in the slot and fired a wrist shot over the glove of Dattani. Connor McCallum (assists to Tyler Benko and Michael Clarke @2:53) would give the Canucks the lead on a wrist shot from the slot. Just one game in the AJHL on Wednesday night. The Bonnyville Pontiacs paid a visit to Lloydminster to take on the Bobcats. The Pontiacs came into the game looking to bounce back from a 7-6 loss to Olds. Lloydminster was looking to snap a three game slide.

Bonnyville Pontiacs (11-9-6) @ Lloydminster Bobcats (16-9-3)
Linden Springer scored twice and added an assist as the Bobcats edged the Pontiacs 6-5.
The Pontiacs and Bobcats would each find the back of the net in the opening frame. Kyler Hehn (assists to Dillan McCombie and Gen Bryshun @5:38) snapped a shot over the blocker of Bobcats (starting) goaltender Devin Green. Ryan Hendrix (assists to Evan Tschumi and Tyler Kunz @15:18) cleaned up the rebound beating Pontiacs (starting) goaltender Reid Kilburn. Shots favored the Bobcats 11-6 in the period.
Both teams would find the back of the net twice in the middle period. Lukas Biensch (assists to Tyler Kunz and Taylor Mulder @0:23) found the loose puck at the top of the crease and would slide it past Kilburn. Chad Hurtubise (assists to Braiden Doucette and Josh Borynec @3:30) from the left faceoff circle would go bar down to tie the game 2-2. The Bobcats would retake the lead on the power play. Tuesday had four interdivisional matchups hit the ice in the AJHL. The Drumheller Dragons took on the top seeded Kodiaks in Camrose. The Dragons were looking to rebound from a 4-3 overtime loss to the Pontiacs on Saturday while the Kodiaks were riding a three game winning streak. The Calgary Canucks hit the road to Olds to take on the Grizzlys. The Canucks were looking to snap a two game losing streak while the Grizzlys were looking to build on a 7-6 overtime victory over Bonnyville on Sunday. The Drayton Valley Thunder were in Spruce Grove to take on the Saints. The Thunder were looking to snap a four game slide while the Saints came into the game having won two in a row. The Canmore Eagles traveled east to take on the Calgary Mustangs. Both teams were looking to snap losing streaks, the Eagles a two game slide while the Mustangs had dropped seven in a row coming into Tuesday night's game.

Drumheller Dragons (17-6-4) @ Camrose Kodiaks (21-3-2)
Ryker Leer scored twice as the Kodiaks edged the Dragons 4-3 in overtime.
Neither team was able to light the lamp in the opening frame. Shots favored the Dragons 11-7 in the first.
The Dragons would outscore the Kodiaks 2-1 in the middle frame. Marcus Messier (assists to Hunter Mills and Dakota Zaharichuk @3:43) walked in front of the net and backhanded the puck past Kodiaks (starting) goaltender Patrick Gora. Ryker Leer (unassisted @8:34) stole the puck on the left wing boards, drove to the front of the net and backhanded a shot five-hole on Dragons (starting) goaltender Curtis Skip. Rory Davidson (assists to Clint Filbrandt and Ryan Suchorab @17:41) skated down the left side boards and wristed a shot five-hole on Gora. Shots favored the Kodiaks 13-6 in the period and 20-17 in the hockey game.
The Kodiaks would outscore the Dragons 2-1 in the third period to force overtime. Adam Wheeldon (assists to Scott Ferguson and Nelson Gadoury @10:44) took a centering pass and flicked the puck over the blocker of Skip. Ryker Leer (unassisted @12:40) intercepted a pass and fired a wrist shot from the left faceoff circle for his second of the night. The Dragons would tie the game on the power play. Marcus Messier (assists to Ryan Suchorab and Hunter Mills @15:15) redirected a point shot behind Gora for his second of the night. Shots favored the Dragons 11-10 in the period. Camrose held the shot edge 30-28 after regulation.
Overtime would last 2:30 before the Kodiaks were able to score the winner. Trevor Costello (assist to Braeden Salverda @2:37) would hammer a one-timer five-hole on Skip. Shots favored the Kodiaks 2-0 in overtime and 32-28 in the hockey game.
Drumheller will be in Okotoks on November 28th while Camrose will be in Sherwood Park on the same day.

Calgary Canucks (9-15-4) @ Olds Grizzlys (12-11-4)
Billy Gorn makes all 34 saves as the Grizzlys shutout the Canucks 4-0.
The Grizzlys would score the lone goal of the opening frame. Austin Kernahan (assists to Dustin Gorgi and Tyrell Mappin @14:51) snapped a wrist shot past the blocker hand of Canucks (starting) goaltender Colin Cooper. Shots favored the Grizzlys 10-6 in the period.
The Grizzlys would double their lead in the second. Christopher Gerrie (Assists to Landon Kletke and Colton Sheen @7:28) kept the puck on a two on one and beat Cooper over the blocker. Shots favored the Grizzlys 18-17 in the period and 28-23 in the hockey game.
The Grizzlys would score twice into the empty net in the third. Colton Sheen (assists to Christopher Gerrie and Jack Goranson @16:59) wristed the puck from the right faceoff circle into the empty net. Jack Goranson (unassisted @19:27) from the blue line would flip the puck into the empty net with his team shorthanded. Shots favored the Canucks 11-8 in the period. The Grizzlys would outshoot the Canucks 36-34 in the hockey game.
The Canucks will travel across the city for their next game against the Mustangs on November 27th. Olds will be in Bonnyville on November 28th for their next matchup.

Drayton Valley Thunder (10-12-4) @ Spruce Grove Saints (20-5-3)
The Saints would score twice on the power play as they edged the Thunder 3-2.
Neither team would find the back of the net in the opening frame. Shots favored the Saints 15-6.
The Saints would score all three goals in the middle stanza. Isaac Farrah (unassisted @2:23) from his stomach would jam the puck past Thunder (starting) goaltender Marc-Olivier Daigle. The Saints would then score two power play goals. Jordan Thomas (assists to Parker Mackay and Jake Mykitiuk @6:44) walked into the left faceoff circle and snapped a shot blocker side. Jarid Hauptman (assists to Cole Nicholson and Connor James @15:30) would snap a wrist shot from the left faceoff circle to make it 3-0. Shots favored the Saints 12-8 in the period and 27-14.
The Thunder would push for a comeback but come up one goal short. Jamie Waddington (assists to Brett Smythe and Trevor Poirier @1:31) snapped a one-timer past Saints (starting) goaltender Brett Zarowny. Jamie Waddington (assists to Luke Orysiuk and Brett Smythe @13:30) scored his second of the night by jamming he loose puck past Zarowny. Shots favored the Saints 7-4 in the period and 34-18 in the hockey game.
Both teams will be in the south on November 28th; the Thunder will be in Brooks while the Saints will be in Canmore.

Canmore Eagles (12-14-1) @ Calgary Mustangs (7-20-2)
Jordan Revie scored four times and added an assist as the Eagles doubled up the Mustangs 10-5.
The Eagles would outscore the Mustangs 3-2 in the opening frame. The Eagles would open the scoring. Lane Olson (assists to Ryley Risling and Jeremy Gordon @2:24) snapped shot from the top of the left faceoff circle over the glove of Mustangs (starting) goaltender Matthew McDonald. Ryley Risling (assists to Joe Serpico and Logan Ferguson @7:39) chipped the rebound over the pad of McDonald. Anthony Orubor (unassisted @11:49) would freeze Eagles (starting) goaltender Ryan Ferguson and wrist the puck past him. Just 30 seconds after that Matt Forchuk (assists to Jordan Revie and Kevin Wolf @12:19) rolled the puck five-hole on McDonald give the Eagles their two goal lead back. That would spell the end of the night for McDonald, who gave up three goals on seven shots. Less than a minute later Mason Mitchell (assists to Joe Mahon and Adam Berg @13:16) hammered a one-timer into the back of the net. Shots favored the Eagles 13-11 in the period.
The Eagles and Mustangs would exchange a pair of goals in the second frame. Jordan Revie (assists to Brett Schimmel and Matt Forchuk @8:11) fired a shot over the blocker hand of Mustangs (backup) goaltender Ravi Dattani. Vincent Paquette (assists to Jared Virtanen and Ryan Rebelato @12:21) finished off a tic-tac-toe passing play. Adam Berg (assists to Anthony Orubor and Chandler Irvin @17:58) finished off a two on one breakaway as he tapped the puck in on the backhand. Jordan Revie (assists to Joe Serpico and Brett Schimmel @19:14) found the bouncing puck in front of the net and chipped the puck to restore the Eagles lead. Shots favored the Mustangs 11-10 in the period. Canmore held the shot edge 23-22 in the hockey game.
The Eagles dominated the Mustangs 5-1 in the final period. The Eagles opened the third with a pair of power play goals. Jordan Revie (assists to Simon Philp and Connor Wilson @3:18) completed the hat trick with a wrist shot over the glove of Dattani. Jordan Revie (assists to Joe Serpico and Ryley Risling @4:48) would then wrist his fourth of the night past Dattani. Just 53 seconds later Zach McNeill (assists to Adam Berg and Joe Mahon @5:41) chipped the bouncing puck past the blocker of Ferguson. Logan Ferguson (assists to Joe Serpico and Connor Wilson @11:07) would finish off a two on one. Ryley Risling (Brayden Biccum and Kyle Pauls @12:31) drove to the front of the net and jammed the puck past Dattani to make it 9-5. The Eagles would cap off the scoring on the power play as Lane Olson (assists to Matt Forchuk and Adamu Tanaka @16:11) hammered a one-timer five hole on Dattani. Shots favored the Mustangs 13-12 in the period and were even 35-35 in the hockey game.

Two games were played Sunday to wrap up the weekend in the AJHL.  The Bonnyville Pontiacs conclude their south road trip in Olds against the Grizzlys. The Pontiacs entered the game on a two game winning streak while the Grizzlys have gone the other direction and have lost their last two games. The Sherwood Park Crusaders will finish up their south road trip in Calgary against the Mustangs. Both teams entered the game with losing streaks; the Crusaders have lost two in a row while the Mustangs have dropped their last six games.

Bonnyville Pontiacs (11-9-5) @ Olds Grizzlys (11-11-4)
Tyrell Mappin scored a hat trick and added two assists as the Grizzlys edged the Pontiacs 7-6 in overtime.
The Grizzlys would outscore the Pontiacs 2-1 in the opening frame. Dillan McCombie (assists to Ryan Black and Mitch Fritz @2:28) would find the rebound and shovel the puck into the back of the net past Grizzlys (starting) goaltender Jesse Gordichuk. Jack Goranson (assists to Dustin Gorgi and Austin Kernahan @6:59) pinched in off the point and fired a quick shot from the slot over the shoulder of Pontiacs (starting) goaltender Joey Desrosiers. On the power play, the Grizzlys would take the lead. Tyrell Mappin (assist to Jack Goranson @18:37) went coast to coast and flipped the puck into the net. Shots favored the Pontiacs 13-10 in the period.
The Pontiacs would double up the Grizzlys 4-2 in the middle frame. On the power play, the Pontiacs would tie the game. Dillan McCombie (assist to Kyler Hehn @1:03) scored his second of the day from the left faceoff circle putting a shot over the glove of Gordichuk. The Grizzlys would answer with a power play goal of their own. Christopher Gerrie (assist to Landon Kletke @2:04) wristed a shot over a screened Desrosiers. Luke Mahura (assists to Mark Zvonkovic and Brady Bakke @3:22) walked to the slot and snapped a shot over the blocker of Gordichuk. Another power play goal for the Grizzlys would give them the lead back. Austin Kernahan (assists to Jack Goranson and Tyrell Mappin @12:48) was Johnny on the spot at the side of the net as he tucked the puck into the goal. Once again, the Pontiacs would respond with a power play goal of their own. Braiden Doucette (assists to Dillan McCombie and Ryan Black @14:25) had the puck deflect right to him and he would slid the puck into the net. Brinson Pasichnuk (unassisted @18:40) picked off a clearing attempt and wired a shot low blocker side on Gordichuk. That would spell the end of the day for Gordichuk, who would give up five goals on 24 shots.
The Grizzlys and Pontiacs continued to go back and forth in the third frame. Tyrell Mappin (assists to Landon Kletke and Colton Sheen @4:18) scored his second of the day blasting a one-timer over the blocker of Desrosiers. On the power play, the Pontiacs would retake the lead. Braiden Doucette (assists to Ryan Symington and Mitch Fritz @9:24) would wrist the puck blocker side on Grizzlys (backup) goaltender Billy Gorn. Landon Kletke (assists to Tyrell Mappin and Jack Goranson @19:27) on the rebound would chip the puck into the back of the net to tie the game and force overtime. Shots favored the Grizzlys 9-5 in the period. Bonnyville held the shot edge 29-24 in the hockey game.
Overtime would last just under three minutes before the Grizzlys were able to pot the winner. Tyrell Mappin (unassisted @2:45) completed the hat trick by one handing the puck from his knees five-hole on Desrosiers. Shots favored the Grizzlys 1-0 in the extra period. Bonnyville would outshoot Olds 29-25 in the game.
Bonnyville will be in Lloydminster on November 26th while Olds will host the Calgary Canucks on November 25th.

Sherwood Park Crusaders (15-12-3) @ Calgary Mustangs (7-19-2)
Arthur Gordon's hat trick leads Crusaders to a 5-3 win over the Mustangs.
Each team would find the back of the net in the opening frame. Cameron Brezinski (assists to Cole Gammer and Dane Phaneuf @6:19) on a goal mouth scramble would poke the puck past Mustangs (starting) goaltender Ravi Dattani. Sean Davies (assists to Phelan Shaw and Scott Salberg @14:13) tipped a point shot five-hole on Crusaders (starting) goaltender Zac Klassen. Shots favored the Crusaders 11-6 in the period.
The Mustangs would outscore the Crusaders 2-1 in the second. Connor Hamilton (unassisted @13:33) picked the short side on Klassen from the bottom of the faceoff circle. Arthur Gordon (assists to Tanner Laderoute and Lane Zablocki @14:48) finished off a two on one, backhanding the shot over Dattani's blocker. The Mustangs would retake the lead on the power play. Zach McNeill (assists to Cole Threndyle and Chandler Irvin @19:04)would find the rebound and shoveled the puck into the back of the net. Shots favored the Mustangs 10-6 in the period. Sherwood Park held the shot edge 17-16 in the hockey game.
Three goals in the final frame would power the Crusaders to a win. Liam Gregor (assists to Brett Van Os and Tanner Laderoute @5:18) took a centering pass and out waited Dattani to tie the game at 3-3. Arthur Gordon (assist to Lane Zablocki @16:04) took a drop pass in the slot and wired the puck top shelf. Arthur Gordon (assist to Chris McKay @18:21) finished off the scoring with a shot into the empty net. Shots favored the Crusaders 18-10 in the period and 35-26 in the hockey game.
The Crusaders will host the Kodiaks on November 28th while the Mustangs will host Canmore on November 25th.

Five games were played on Saturday in the AJHL. Sherwood Park continued their south road trip in Brooks. The Crusaders fell 4-3 to Drumheller on Friday night, while the Bandits came into the game on a five game winning streak. Lloydminster and Camrose wrapped up their home and home. The Kodiaks took a 2-0 decision on Friday night in Lloydminster. Okotoks traveled up highway 2 to Olds to take on the Grizzlys. Okotoks entered the game on a four game winning streak while the Grizzlys were looking to bounce back from a 3-2 setback to the Camrose Kodiaks last Saturday. Bonnyville continued their south road trip in Drumheller. Bonnyville was looking to build on a 6-4 win over the Canucks on Friday while Drumheller entered the game on a two game winning streak. Whitecourt continued their weekend set in Fort McMurray. The Oil Barons earned a 5-4 win over the Wolverines on Friday night.

Sherwood Park Crusaders (15-11-3) @ Brooks Bandits (19-6-1)
Josh Davies made all 22 saves as the Bandits shutout the Crusaders 2-0.

The Bandits scored twice in the middle frame. On the power play, the Bandits would open the scoring. Chase Clayton (assists to Shane Bear and Austin Plevy @12:48) blasted a shot over the glove of Crusaders (starting) goaltender Zac Klassen. Nick Prkusic (assist to Oliver Lester @16:38) wristed a shot from the right faceoff circle that beat Klassen over the glove to make it 2-0. Shots favored the Bandits 14-7 in the period and 24-13 in the hockey game.
Neither team would find the back of the net in the third as the Bandits earned a 2-0 win. Shots favored the Bandits 11-9 in the period and 35-22 in the hockey game.

Nelson Gadoury and Mark Nerland would each score and add a helper as the Kodiaks defeated the Bobcats 5-4 in a shootout.
The Kodiaks would score the lone goal in the opening frame. Mark Nerland (unassisted @1:29) fired a point shot over the glove hand of Bobcats (starting) goaltender Devin Green. Shots favored the Kodiaks 12-7 in the period.
Both teams would find the back of the net twice in the middle frame. Nelson Gadoury (assists to Scott Ferguson and Adam Wheeldon @0:33) tapped the puck five-hole on Green. Round two was the same as the first round as the goalies stopped Bryce Woodward (Bobcats) Brett Njaa (Kodiaks). Round three Chris Seto (Bobcats) would miss the net while Nelson Gadoury (Kodiaks) went bar down as the Kodiaks earned a 5-4 shootout victory.
Lloydminster will host Bonnyville on November 26th. Camrose will host Drumheller on November 25th.

Okotoks Oilers (19-7-3) @ Olds Grizzlys (11-10-4)
Darian Henry scored twice including the game winner as the Oilers edged the Grizzlys 3-2.
The Oilers and Grizzlys would exchange goals in the opening frame. Matt McNair (assists to Tanner Ockey and Kyle Krabben @4:47) chipped the rebound past Grizzlys (starting) goaltender Jesse Gordichuk. Colton Sheen (unassisted @15:16) backhanded the puck five-hole on Oilers (starting) goaltender Nic Renyard. Shots favored the Grizzlys 6-5 in the period.
The Oilers would score the lone goal of the middle stanza on the power play. Darian Henry (assist to Trey Degraaf @10:06) banged in a rebound past the blocker of Gordichuk. Shots favored the Oilers 8-6 in the period and 13-12 in the hockey game.

Whitecourt Wolverines (7-17-4) @ Fort McMurray Oil Barons (14-11-3)
Joshua Dechaine stopped 38 of 40 shots as the Wolverines edged the Oil Barons 3-2.
The Wolverines and Oil Barons would each score twice in the opening frame. Morgan Messenger (assists to James Vermeulen and Justin Young @11:29) was all alone in the slot and made no mistake beating Oil Barons (starting) goaltender Zach Fortin. Zach Wittenburg (assist to Adam Durkee @13:41) dumped the puck into the Wolverines zone that bounced off the boards and past Wolverines (starting) goaltender Joshua Dechaine. Just 26 seconds after that Jetlan Houcher (unassisted @14:07) wired a shot from the right faceoff circle over the blocker of Dechaine. Dylan Thudium (assists to Joseph Nardi and Trace Elson @17:34) one-timed a shot from the slot that beat Fortin five-hole to tie the game. Shots favored the Oil Barons 14-11 in the period.

Six games were played to open up the weekend in the AJHL. The Calgary Mustangs went east to take on the Brooks Bandits. The Mustangs have dropped five in a row while the Bandits are riding a four game winning streak. The Bonnyville Pontiacs opened up a three game road trip in Calgary against the Canucks. The Pontiacs have dropped three straight games while the Canucks were looking to bounce back from a 7-6 loss to Brooks on Wednesday night. The Canmore Eagles and Okotoks Oilers played the back half of their home and home in Okotoks. The Oilers defeated the Eagles 6-4 on Tuesday night. Camrose traveled to Lloydminster to take on the Bobcats. The Kodiaks defeated Olds 3-2 last Saturday while the Bobcats fell 9-2 to Spruce Grove on Wednesday night. Sherwood Park opened up a three game south road trip in Drumheller. The Crusaders entered the game on a three game winning streak while the Dragons defeated the Mustangs 8-6 on Tuesday night. Whitecourt headed northeast to Fort McMurray to take on the Oil Barons. The Wolverines have dropped seven in a row while the Oil Barons have won their last two games.

Calgary Mustangs (7-19-1) @ Brooks Bandits (18-6-1)
Austin Plevy scored twice in regulation and once in the shootout as the Bandits edged the Mustangs 5-4.
The Bandits strike twice in the opening frame. Mark Logan (assists to Adam Baughman and Madison Dunn @3:41) one-timed a centering pass over the glove of Mustangs (starting) goaltender Ravi Dattani. Corey Caruso (assists to Jared Cockrell and Anthony Paskaruk @12:33) walked to the slot and snapped a shot over the glove of Dattani. Shots favored the Bandits 12-9 in the period.
The Mustangs would strike twice late in the frame to tie the game. Jared Virtanen (assists to Sean Davies and Joe Mahon @18:52) backhanded a shot under the pad of Bandits (starting) goaltender Michael Fredrick. Just 20 seconds after that Scott Salberg (assists to Sean Davies and Nick Rein @19:12) tied the game on the rebound. Shots favored the Bandits 18-7 in the period and 30-16 in the hockey game.
Each team would score twice in the third period. The Bandits would retake the lead on the power play. Austin Plevy (assists to Jared Cockrell and Chase Clayton @2:41) took a cross crease pass and redirected the puck into the back of the net. Zach McNeill (assists to Vincent Paquette and Cole Threndyle @6:49) put the puck on goal from a sharp angle to tie the game. Just 29 seconds later Austin Plevy (assists to Kyler Nachtigall and Chase Clayton @7:18) scored his second of the night finishing off a three on one. Joe Mahon (assists to Zach McNeill and Vincent Paquette @19:54) backhanded his rebound into the net to send the game to overtime. Shots favored the Mustangs 9-8 in the period. The Bandits held the shot edge 38-25 in the hockey game.
Neither team would score in overtime, and it was off to a shootout. Shots favored the Bandits 4-0 in the frame and 42-25 in the hockey game.
Shootout round one: Austin Plevy (Bandits) avoided the poke check and scored while the pad of Fredrick stopped Cole Threndyle (Mustangs). Round two Chase Clayton (Bandits) froze Dattani and would score while Phelan Shaw (Mustangs) lost the puck to give the Bandits a 5-4 shootout victory.
The Mustangs will host Sherwood Park on November 23rd while the Bandits will host the Crusaders on November 22nd.

Bonnyville Pontiacs (9-9-5) @ Calgary Canucks (9-14-4)
Kyler Hehn chipped in with three assists as the Pontiacs defeated the Canucks 6-4.
The Pontiacs would score the only two goals of the opening frame. Cory Santoro (assists to Dillan McCombie and Kyler Hehn @3:46) out waited Canucks (starting) goaltender Malcolm Walilko and put the puck over his pad. Chad Hurtubise (assist to Braiden Doucette @9:12) tipped the point shot from Doucette five-hole on Walilko. Shots favored the Pontiacs 16-10 in the period.
The Canucks would get the lone goal in the middle frame. Trent Geiger (assists to Matteo Milroy and Josh Betinol @16:54) would jam the puck in on a wrap around beating Pontiacs (starting) goaltender Reid Kilburn. Shots favored the Pontiacs 13-10 in the period and 29-20 in the hockey game.
Goals would come in bunches in the third frame as the Pontiacs would outscore the Canucks 4-3. While shorthanded Brett Hamer (unassisted @0:46) would tie the game up when he stole the puck and scored on a breakaway. Just 23 seconds after that  Brinson Pasichnuk (assists to Kyler Hehn and Steenn Pasichnuk @1:09) wristed a shot from the point over the glove of Walilko. Matteo Milroy (assists to Josh Betinol and Chaydan Lauber @4:55) chipped the puck over the glove hand of Kilburn to tie the game. Dillan McCombie (assist to Braiden Doucette @7:48) drove to the front of the net and buried the puck five-hole. Mitch Fritz (assists to Cory Santoro and Alden Dupuis @9:58) fired the rebound into the back of the net to extend the Pontiacs lead. On the power play, the Pontiacs would make it 6-3. Mark Zvonkovic (assists to Kyler Hehn and Steenn Pasichnuk @15:57) blasted a shot from the point past the blocker of Walilko. The Canucks would answer on the power play. Matthew Dykstra (assists to Bryson Gore and Matteo Milroy @18:00) chipped the puck over the glove of Kilburn to make it 6-4. Shots favored the Pontiacs 11-10 in the period and 40-30 in the hockey game.
Bonnyville will be in Drumheller on November 22nd while the Canucks will be in Olds on November 25th.

Canmore Eagles (12-13-1) @ Okotoks Oilers (18-7-3)
Rhett Gardner scored once and added two assists as the Oilers defeated the Eagles 6-2.
The Oilers scored the lone goal in the opening frame. Tucker Bender (assists to Matt McNair and Tanner Ockey @12:59) would beat Eagles (starting) goaltender Ryan Ferguson. Shots favored the Eagles 10-9 in the opening period.
The Oilers would dominate much of the second frame in route to a 5-1 lead over the Eagles. Rhett Gardner (assists to Connor Chambers and Carson Beers @0:21) cleaned up the rebound to give the Oilers a 2-0 lead. Tucker Bender (assists to Matt McNair and Tanner Ockey @5:23) from the left faceoff circle would beat Ferguson five-hole. That would spell the end of the night for Ryan Ferguson, he would give up three goals on 14 shots. Two power play goals would extend the Oilers lead to 5-0. Eric Krienke (assist to Rhett Gardner @7:13) wired a wrist shot five-hole on Eagles (backup) goaltender Adam Marcoux. Just 50 seconds later Kevin Jenken (assist to Carson Beers @8:03) from the left faceoff circle snapped a shot over the glove on Marcoux. The Eagles would get on the board late in the period. Simon Philp (assists to Lane Olson and Ryley Risling @13:36) from the top of the slot would beat Oilers (starting) goaltender Nic Renyard. Shots favored the Oilers 17-10 in the period and 26-20 in the hockey game.
The Eagles and Oilers would exchange goals in the final frame. On the power play, the Eagles would get within three. Joe Serpico (assists to Ryley Risling and Connor Wilson @4:58) would jam the puck five-hole on Renyard. The Oilers would finish off the scoring while shorthanded as Mitch Collett (assist to Rhett Gardner @18:53) would find the back of an empty net. Shots favored the Eagles 14-10 in the period. Okotoks would outshoot Canmore 36-34 in the hockey game.
Canmore will be in Calgary to take on the Mustangs on November 25th while the Oilers will be in Olds on November 22nd.

Camrose Kodiaks (19-3-2) @ Lloydminster Bobcats (16-8-2)
Patrick Gora made all 29 saves as the Kodiaks shutout the Bobcats 2-0.
The Kodiaks would score the lone goal of the frame. Scott Ferguson (assist to Nelson Gadoury @2:51) driving down the right wing would snap a shot over the glove of Bobcats (starting) goaltender Devin Green. Shots favored the Bobcats 16-10 in the period.
The Kodiaks would extend their lead with a power play goal in the second. TJ Brown (assist to Ryker Leer @16:00) from the slot would wrist the puck over the blocker of Green. Shots favored the Kodiaks 9-6 in the period. Lloydminster held the shot edge 22-19 in the hockey game.
Neither team would find the back of the net in the final frame. Shots were even 7-7 in the period and favored the Bobcats 29-26 in the hockey game.
Camrose and Lloydminster will complete their home and home on November 22nd.

Sherwood Park Crusaders (15-10-3) @ Drumheller Dragons (16-6-3)
Dragons score four times on the special teams as they edge the Crusaders 4-3.
The Crusaders score twice late in the opening frame to take a 2-1 lead over the Dragons. On the power play, the Dragons would open the scoring. Ryan Suchorab (assists to Jacob Schofield and Ryan Jevne @7:36) wristed a shot from the point that went over Crusaders (starting) goaltender Zac Klassen. Liam Gregor (assists to Dane Phaneuf and Stephen Shmoorkoff @14:10) would drive to the front of the net and flick the puck over the blocker of Dragons (starting) goaltender Curtis Skip. Cole Gammer (assists to Dane Phaneuf and Cameron Brezinski @16:06) would put the puck on goal, and it would trickle into the net. Shots favored the Dragons 10-7 in the period.
The Dragons and Crusaders would score with a power play in the second period. Hunter Mills (assists to Dakota Zaharichuk and Brody Valette @4:46) tipped the puck into the back of the net to tie the game at 2-2. Cole Gammer (assists to Reid Bosse and Cameron Brezinski @9:42) would score his second of the night over the pad of Skip. The Dragons would answer as Wyatt Noskey (assist to Jarell Pinchuk @11:26) redirected the puck in front of the net. Shots favored the Crusaders 10-6 in the period and 17-16 in the hockey game.
The Dragons would score the lone goal in the final frame, and they did it while shorthanded. Rory Davidson (unassisted @18:11) with speed would fire the puck on goal and momentum carried Klassen and the puck into the back of the goal. Shots favored the Dragons 13-6 in the period and 29-23 in the hockey game.
Both teams will be in action on November 22nd; Sherwood Park will be in Brooks while Drumheller will host Bonnyville.

Whitecourt Wolverines (7-16-4) @ Fort McMurray Oil Barons (13-11-3)
Jackson McKinstry and Adam Durkee each scored once and added an assist as the Oil Barons edged the Wolverines 5-4.
The Oil Barons would double up the Wolverines 4-2 in the opening frame. Zach Wittenburg (assists to Jetlan Houcher and Adam Durkee @5:45) took a centering pass and redirected the puck past Wolverines (starting) goaltender Pierce Dushenko. Just 39 seconds after that Jordan Xavier (assists to Alyn Nanji and Shawn Weber @6:34) tipped the puck five-hole on Dushenko. Isaac Ceh (assist to Jackson McKinstry @8:07) found the shortside on Dushenko. That would spell the end of the night for Dushenko, who gave up three goals on seven shots. Trace Elson (unassisted @8:56) picked a pass off and snapped a wrist shot over the blocker of Oil Barons (starting) goaltender Zach Fortin. Jackson McKinstry (assists to Kyle Star and Jetlan Houcher @10:12) one-timed a centering pass past Wolverines (backup) goaltender Joshua Dechaine. The Wolverines would get that goal back on the power play. Joseph Nardi (assists to Gordie Ballhorn and Trace Elson @18:52) jammed in the rebound to make it 4-2. Shots favored the Oil Barons 10-9 in the period.
Both teams would score goals in the middle stanza. On the power play he Oil Barons would make it 5-2. Adam Durkee (assists to Kyle Star and Trent Lofthouse @11:30) blasted one timer from the right faceoff circle past Dechaine. Morgan Messenger (assists to Justin Young and Romano Morrison @15:09) dragged the puck around the pad of Fortin. Shots favored the Wolverines 10-8 in the period and 19-18 in the hockey game.
The Wolverines would score the lone goal of the third frame. Justin Young (assists to Gordie Ballhorn and Ben Fonteyne @15:38) on the rebound fired a quick shot past the pad of Fortin. Shots favored the Wolverines 10-5 in the period and 29-23 in the hockey game.
The Wolverines and Oil Barons will meet up in Fort McMurray on November 22nd.

Just one game on Thursday night in the AJHL as the Grande Prairie Storm traveled south to take on the Drayton Valley Thunder. The Storm were looking to bounce back from a 9-3 loss to Lloydminster on Tuesday night while the Thunder were looking to snap a three game losing streak.

Grande Prairie Storm (10-19-0) @ Drayton Valley Thunder (10-11-4)
Ben Assad and Ian McLellan each scored once and added an assist as the Storm edge the Thunder 3-2.
The Storm and Thunder would exchange goals in the opening frame. On the power play, the Storm would open the scoring. Ian McLellan (assists to Braeden Jones and Ben Assad @12:15) standing in front of the net would have the puck bounce off his skate and past Thunder (starting) goaltender Marc-Olivier Daigle. Brett Smythe (assist to Brodie Clowes @14:58) would cut to the net and slide the puck five-hole on Storm (starting) goaltender Andy Gilker. Shots favored the Thunder 10-6 in the period.
The Storm would retake the lead on the power play in the middle frame. Ben Assad (assist to Braden Jones @15:52) from the left faceoff circle snaps a shot five-hole on Daigle. Shots favored the Storm 18-6 in the period and 24-16 in the hockey game.
