Viterra AJHL Volunteer Profile – Malcolm Wilmot, Grande Prairie Storm

The Alberta Junior Hockey League and Viterra are proud to once again recognize volunteers from each member team through the Viterra AJHL Volunteer Profile.   At the end of the regular season, one volunteer in both the Viterra AJHL North Division & Viterra AJHL South Division will be presented with the Viterra Salute to Service Award recognizing their service and commitment to the Alberta Junior Hockey League.

  • Role: Assistant Equipment Manager
  • Number of Years Volunteering: 4
  • Why Malcolm Volunteers: He loves the players and just enjoys making sure the little details are looked after for the boys. Whether it is sharpening certain blades after warm up, or that superstitious high five routine, Mal goes the distance for the STORM. Malcolm has taken the initiative to learn new tasks each season and this year has had to run the show on more than a couple occasions. When you think of the type of people that make the world go round, Mal is one of the people that come to mind as he will do whatever it takes for the team. Malcolm is only 17 and finishing his grade 12 year at St Joes High School in Grande Prairie.
