It’s the squeaky wheel that gets the grease and when that noise comes from the guys that an event like the AJHL’s Showcase Weekend is designed for, those in charge listen.
As such, for the fourth year in a row the weekend where each team in the Alberta Junior Hockey League plays two games in one building will return to Spruce Grove and the TransAlta Tri Leisure Centre.
The volunteer organizer of the Showcase Weekend, Brenda Hawryluk, said the AJ’s decision to return here yet again is due to a number of reasons, including a demand by those this weekend is set up for that it stay put.
