WALLACE, BROWN AND MALINOSKI SELECTED FOR AJHL WEEKLY AWARDS

The Pizza 73 AJHL Player of the Week is Blackfalds Bulldogs forward Tyler Wallace (Niagara University, NCAA).  With six goals and four assists from February 13^th-19^th, the Bulldogs alternate captain led all AJHL skaters with ten points to earn the Player of the Week award for the second time this season.

Wallace (Calgary, AB) recorded a season-high five-point game (4G, 1A) against the visiting Okotoks Oilers on Valentine’s Day and was awarded as the Viterra AJHL Star of the Game for his role in all five goals in the 5-1 win.  On February 17^th, Wallace added an assist in a 10-1 road victory over the Canmore Eagles.  The 2002 Bulldog wrapped up the week with his fourth four-point game of the season on February 18^th.  Wallace scored two goals and two assists, including his seventh game winning goal of the season, as Blackfalds defeated Okotoks 9-6.

In his fourth AJHL season, Tyler Wallace currently has 77 points (37G, 40A), placing him fifth overall in league scoring.

The Blackfalds Bulldogs are winners of their last four games, sit second in the Viterra AJHL South Division, and have four regular season games remaining.

Okotoks Oilers defenceman Rylan Brown (Michigan Tech, NCAA) is the Alberta Ford Dealers AJHL Defensive Player of the Week.  Brown led all AJHL defencemen with five points last week to earn the weekly honour for the second time in the 2022-23 season.

Brown (Sherwood Park, AB) posted a season-high four point game in a 6-1 victory over the Whitecourt Wolverines on February 17^th.  The 2005 defenceman assisted on four of the Oiler goals.  On February 18^th, Rylan recorded his 26^th assist of the season as the Oilers fell 9-6 to the Blackfalds Bulldogs in their second meeting of the week.

The Okotoks Oilers are third in the Viterra AJHL South Division with four games left prior to the 2023 Inter Pipeline AJHL Playoffs.

The Inter Pipeline AJHL Rookie of the Week is Brooks Bandits forward Hudson Malinoski (Providence College, NCAA).  The 2023 AJHL Rookie of the Year finalist has tallied points in eight of his last nine games played, including five points (1G, 4A) in two wins last week.

On February 16^th, Malinoski recorded two assists in an 8-1 road win versus the Camrose Kodiaks.  The following night, the 2004 Bandit scored a goal and two assists in a 6-1 win over the visiting Calgary Canucks.  Malinoski (Saskatoon, SK) is 12^th overall in the AJHL Scoring Race and 3^rd amongst rookies with 62 points (13G, 49A).

The Brooks Bandits have clinched first place in the Viterra AJHL South Division and currently enjoy an eight-game win streak as they approach the 2023 Inter Pipeline AJHL Playoffs.
