Whitecourt Wolverines goaltenders Zac Onyskiw (MacEwan University) and Elliott Pratt (Robert Morris University) are the recipients of the Top Team Goaltenders award, which is presented annually to the goaltenders of the team with the lowest goals against average (GAA) in the regular season.
The Wolverines allowed a league-best 124 goals against with a 2.29 GAA to earn the Top Team Goaltenders award. Whitecourt finished the season with a record of 36-12-3-3 (W-L-OTL-SOL) and 78 points, tied with the Calgary Canucks who were awarded the regular season title as determined through the tie-breaker formula.
Zac Onyskiw (2004) held a record of 26-7-1-3 and a .939 save percentage while Elliott Pratt (2005) posted an 8-4-2-0 record and .911 save percentage. The duo combined for four shutouts in the Wolverines net.
The Whitecourt Wolverines were the recipients of the 2023-2024 Team Goaltenders Award, which was the first in franchise history.
The Wolverines earned top seed in the Viterra AJHL Norh Division and will meet the Fort McMurray Oil Barons in the opening round of the 2025 Inter Pipeline Cup AJHL Playoffs. The 2025 AJHL playoffs will see the top four teams in each division battle for the title of Division Champion. The South Division Champion and North Division Champion will then compete in the 2025 Inter Pipeline Cup AJHL Final. Each series will be a best-of-seven with the highest placed seed playing the lowest placed seed in the division.
The 2025 Centennial Cup, presented by Tim Hortons will be played in Calgary and hosted by the Calgary Canucks from May 8th-18th in Calgary, AB.
