Zach Bookman Listed on NHL Central Scouting Mid-term Rankings

Brooks Bandits defenceman Zach Bookman has been listed on the NHL Central Scouting Mid-Season Rankings ahead of the 2022 NHL Draft.

Bookman, 19, is listed 208th among North American Skaters as the mid-term rankings came out on Wednesday. The 2022 NHL Draft is scheduled from July 7-8 in Montreal, QC.

With 77 points (18 goals, 59 assists) in 40 games this season, Bookman leads all AJHL defenceman in scoring, and is third overall behind teammates Ryan McAllister and TJ Hughes. He also leads all AJHL defenceman in goal scoring.

On January 7 vs Bonnyville, he set a new team record for most points in a single season by a blueliner with 76, passing Cale Makar and Dennis Cesana who previously had 75 point seasons.

Bookman is committed to Merrimack (NCAA Division I, Hockey East).
