The American Hockey League announced today that Toronto Marlies center Joe Colborne has been named the Reebok/AHL Player of the Month for October. Colborne scored eight goals, recorded eight assists and posted a plus-8 rating in nine games to lead the Marlies to a 5-3-1-0 record and first place in the North Division.

Johnson made five appearances and went 3-0-2, tying for the league lead among qualified goalies in both goals-against average (1.69) and save percentage (.942) while helping the Whale to first place in the Northeast Division.
