The Canalta Hotels AJHL Player of the Week for the week of November 28th – December 4th is Markus Gerbrandt of the Fort McMurray Oil Barons. Gerbrandt scored 6 goals in 3 games over the week and has recorded points in 6 consecutive games.
Gerbrandt recorded a hat trick and was selected as the Pro Hockey Life Star of the Game on December 2nd against the Calgary Canucks. He also scored two goals in the final two minutes of the December 3rd game versus Brooks to send the game into overtime.
Markus Gerbrandt is a 20 year old Centre from Edmonton, Alberta. This is Gerbrandt’s third season with the Oil Barons.
