Fort McMurray Oil Barons Captain, Jetlan Houcher, is the Canalta Hotels AJHL Player of the Week for the week ending January 11th, 2015. Houcher scored 7 points in 3 games over the week, including his second hat trick of the season, and an overtime game winning goal. The MOB forward also received the Viterra AJHL Star of the Game Award twice (January 6th and January 9th).
Houcher leads the AJHL in goals (32) and powerplay goals (11) and is currently second in the AJHL Scoring Race with 57 points in 44 games played. Jetlan leads the Oil Barons in scoring and is in the midst of a 6 game point streak totaling 12 points thus far.
The 20-year old from Paradise Valley, AB is committed to the University of Alabama-Huntsville. Houcher is a veteran of the AJHL with 133 regular season games and 145 points in his AJHL career.
