Brkin, 18 , posted a 4-1 win over the Sherwood Park Crusaders on January 24th, turning away 34 of 35 shots on goal. On January 27th, he recorded a 3-1 victory against the Fort McMurray Oil Barons, allowing just one goal on 34 shots, and was selected as the Viterra AJHL Star of the Game.
The Bobcats acquired the rights to Brkin (Sherwood Park, AB) from the Brooks Bandits on January 9th, 2018; Brkin began the season with the Kootenay Ice (WHL).
The Bobcats are 5-5-0 in the last 10 games and are placed 6th in the North Division Standings with 12 regular season games remaining.
