The Sherwood Park Crusaders are pleased to announce that 1996 born defenseman Chris McKay has committed to RIT-Rochester Institute of Technology (NCAA).
The Rochester Institute of Technology Tigers are located in Rochester, New York and play in the Atlantic Hockey Conference. He will join Crusaders alumnus and current RIT Tiger forward, Danny Smith, next season.
“We are extremely excited for Chris and his family about this opportunity with the RIT Tigers,” says Crusaders General Manager / Head Coach Tim Fragle. “Chris is very deserving of this opportunity and has improved immensely in all areas his game over the past season and half while developing with the Crusaders hockey program,” Fragle added.
McKay in 25 games this season has scored 7 goals and added 11 assists for a total 18 points.
The Crusaders organization would like to congratulate Chris and his family on his commitment to RIT as well to his continued development to help make the Crusaders 2015-16 a successful season.
